Sid and I took quite a few road trips while I was mending from a calcaneus fracture and 2 surgeries.
I had never been to the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan.
It's as far north in Michigan as you can go. We explored the whole region.
We stayed at a gorgeous little chalet with wood wood-burning sauna. All the Yoopers have saunas to endure the long and cold winters up there.
The inside of the chalet was full of natural wood floors, stairs, walls, and handrails.
I set up 3 ham radio antennas from here, using a Yaesu FT-991a.

I did my very first POTA activation up here with 100 Pota hunters in 1 hour. It was fast, furious, and truly exhausting. I had to do the official POTA log after the fact. Look up W8XDX for POTA up at Lac La Belle. I think I have the most contacts up there. That could have changed. Of course, I got to make contact with all my ham friends back in Toledo. 500 miles away as the crow flies.
