Mrs Sturm, you'll probably never read or see this comment, but i want to thank you for this song that I've been listening to for so long. I've never had the guts to ever comment on something that i feel so wholey, but I've recently gone through a rough breakup with a abusive girlfriend. This song has got me through so much but especially this. I pray one day ill find the time and money to see you live just once, and to hear this song sung in your angelic voice just once. Thank you for helping me Lacey. You've always got a fan in me 🙂
"The fact that we're still here means we can do something" I believe this is eternally true. I wouldn't still be here if there wasn't something I could do.
I'm about to start chemo for the second time for breast cancer (I'm still really young) and I listen to this song in a daily basis which helps me come to terms with my reality on mot dwell on what could be but on what I can do today while I'm still alive.
Beautiful person spreading grace on the whole Earth. I like this album. She is the real deal. Flyleaf has so many jams. Impacted my life through lyrics.
I got to see Lacey back at it again at Welcome to Rockville. Impossible was great live and hearing the old Flyleaf songs brought me back. Thank you Lacey you made my weekend a positive one!!
i saw her twice in concert and i am about to see her and hopefully meet her on shiprocked. shes such an amazing soul and so down to earth. she really is an amazing spirit and i am so glad she is here to spread her love and music!
Lacey, I know you get a lot, ALOT of these huge paragraphs, but I want to thank you. Thank you for always being here for anyone and thank you for giving me and my family hope. When I heard flyleaf had broken up, I had cried for weeks. I'm sorry about Rich your sound engineer. I couldn't imagine loosing someone close to my band like that.I had been a follower of you and Flyleaf for years, (i will always be) and even though you haven't even actually met me, I have been by your side for the longest I can remember. My name is Coryn Cahill, I am thirteen years old and I am the lead singer of my band Thursdays in Suburbia. I saw this performance at the whisky one week before I was going to preform at the Whiskey a go-go myself, and I was absolutely terrified. I was watching you and I wondered, "how am I ever going to meet up to this amazing singer?". Then I realized, we are all the same. In your past videos you have acted so honest, normal, nice and humble, you were acting just like anyone else if they had been chosen by god to do something great like this. You weren't acting fake or rude *cough* justin Bieber *cough*. It's sad how people believe that alternative and rock is terrible for kids. It's horrible to think humanity discriminates the kids that are in need of help that go to this music and hurt them even more. We get called emos, scene, cutters, when we are just as normal as everyone else. The only difference is our that we sometimes need help, and our appearance (hair color, piercings, the occasional tattoo). The reason why Parents and people hate this music is because not every one needs it. When some kids feel hurt or suicidal they go to alternative or rock music. So instead of parents seeing it as a cure, they see it as a hoax. They think, "oh my sons cutting himself, it's probably because of this meaningless scream singing music".They don't listen to the lyrics and realize that (most of) alternative can be the best and most regenerating type of music. For example, if you listen to evanescence's Bring me to life it can mean many great things. It doesn't relate to terrible things like drugs, gangs, and all around sin. If society listened to the lyrics only and not the (still awesome) music beside it, Everyone would be regretful about what they said about us. I am in the middle of producing my third original and you have inspired me to make a change in this world. I also sing about three of your songs as covers with my band, so if you would like to see it, you can look up Thursdays In Suburbia Thank you for everything & see you soon!!! Sincerely, Coryn Cahill.
😱 for those of you who do not know this check out Skillet and Lacey Sturm Breaking Free. Yes Lacey Sturm did a song with Skillet which is fantastic and totally cool.
