NX450H+ arrived mid Jan 2024, was told to wait up to 9 mos (!), had 2nd fob programmed a few days ago so it's all good. Was first notified a few weeks back.
Bought a RX450h+ end of April 2024.... Called the dealer service Dept in early July, Service ordered us a second key fob. Arrived in 3 days...Lucky us. I like the car. .
Hi LSFT. Thank you SO much for your content! Took delivery of my NX 350h in September 2023 and received the second key fob in January 2024. Not sure if this made a difference but after one week of ownership, I took the dealership staff a 5 pound box of candy as a Thank You gift. Oh, I'm in the western United States.
Thanks for the update. So about 4-5 months wait time. According to the table, It makes sense that you could get the key around that time. Looks like they have started the next phase, but not much info.
Bought and picked up my 2024 NX 350h Premium on mid Jan 2024. Got my 2nd key FOB on end of June. What made mine a bit more complicated was I relocated across the country and overseas. After a lot of follow ups and complaining, I finally got it after 5 months.
Yea unfortunately both fobs can't be delivered at same time as vehicle delivery. BUT other manufacturers such as BMW are leaving the chips out of paid car features such as heated seats, until more chips arrive. Just a consequence of the post COVID world for now.
New models, such as the LBX in Europe, now come again with the 2 keyfobs at delivery. For the previous models, my dealer told me that the 2nd keyfob is "progressively" delivered in waves, but no precise and absolute deadline...
Hi LSFT, I orderd in March and picked up my Lexus NX350h in April, in Hungary; there is no info / update from local Lexus on the second key fob yet :-( It's getting annoying....
We picked up our NX350h in Dec 2023 with one key fob. We received a letter a few weeks back to make an appointment with the dealer to program the smart key. Appointment is scheduled for next week. We had reached out to the sales team about six weeks ago for an update on the second key. Not sure if that triggered the process.
Purchased 23 RX 350h in March ‘23. Dealer kept giving me the run around for better part of year and said I need a letter from Lexus something? Finally just called Lexus corporate directly and they were able to get me my key within a week through the dealer
Received both Key fobs (however never use them).....*.Instead in addition to the fobs..... I got a Credit Card device that slips in my IPhone case/Credit card wallet ... serving two positive functions. #1 I never have to worry about Opp's I forget my keys... & #2 i can't forget my wallet somewhere as when I go to my car I must have it to Open/ drive my car ...so I know exactly where I last left my wallet as in the last place I was....So I si,mply rush back to the X store or nightclub...& I know my IPhone / wallet was left behind at X location almost immediately when leaving.... additionally I have a thin "iPhone "Air Tag" in my wallet & car..........A WIN WIN!
I just took delivery of my 2024 Venza Limited (ordered in January 2024) mid June, 2024 and I only got one key fob. My Toyota salesman told me he is still waiting for his 2nd key fob of his May 2023 RAV4. I have no idea when I am going to get my 2nd key fob. It is not good.
This is what the video is to say. I hope Toyota and Lexus watch this video and can see how many are frustrated with it. Originally April was back to normal and now we don't know.
Ok I’m thinking what if you go to the dealership and you tell them not gonna buy this car unless there are two key fobs or you wait one week and tell them you lost your key and you want another one
I think you could say that you won't seal the deal if you don't get two fobs then it will be ok. But dealerships have limited quantities to get replacement fobs. I believe I talked about it in previous keyfob videos.
Took delivery of my RX500h (produced in January 2024) exactly 3 months ago from LEXUS dealer in Bucharest, Romania. I've been told the second key fob would be delivered within maximum 2 months, but still no update so far... It's becoming annoying and frustrating! Car is great, however lost my trust in LEXUS for not being able to deliver what they've promised
I ORDERED MY 2024 NX 350h ON Sept. 06, 2023. The car was delivered to me on Feb. 06, 2024 with only 1 Key FOB. UNTIL TODAY, JUL. 09, 2024 I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT MY 2ND KEY FOB. (I AM LIVING IN QUEBEC)
Going on 2 months now. At time of purchase, the salesman told me 2 weeks. He most likely knew of this shortage and how long customers have to wait. Pure lies. Is this due to lack of parts??
