I'm happy to see Lacuna Coil back 😊. Your confusion between the two versions makes sense. If I'm not mistaken, the live version is the original version of the song, whereas the XX official version is the 20 year anniversary remaster/re-working of the song (they did this for the entirety of the Comalies album).

Just as an other commenter already said, Tight Rope originally was published in 2002 in their album Comalies. The live video is the original song perfomed live (obviously). The studio version that you reacted is called Tight Rope XX, a reinterpretation of the original song, part of a 20 years anniversary re-release of Comalies which also includes reinterpeted versions of all the original songs. That bridge that sounded to you same but different was how it sounded in the original song

You know what? It's 20 years later and the iRiver H320/H340 are STILL the best portable music player. You can replace the 20GB/40GB internal 1.8" hard drive with a 1TB SDcard these days.. they still rock, they play lossless flac and they are still relevant and HELLO APPLE.. they have TWO headphone sockets 🍎

Yes, the Live Version is the Original from 2002 but even this Version performed here is not 100% original, on the Studio the first Verses all are sung alone by Andrea (him) and not Duet like here.

The original version from 2002 blows this version away. They fucked around with their dynamics on XX and lost the magic of the atmosphere from Comalies - the very thing that made that album so good.

Its important to pay attention to lyrics. Theyd clue you in to the fact that they are the same song.

Well, technically those are different songs, since one is labeled "Tight Rope" and one "Tight Rope XX". (The reason has already been pointed out, so I'm not gonna elaborate.) But they share the same lyrics, the same feel and for an average fan such as me, they sure sound like (clearly distinguishable but still) different versions of the same song. That raises the question when to regard songs as different. Is there a widely accepted definition of that?
