That beat from snoop's version is way too smoove (yeah, I said smoove!) and laid back. Snoop is so mellow😎 and reserved, I bet he can count on his fingers the amount of times he's lost his cool. Lol
@@RealLargeManTheGiantOne ohhh nice. Yeah. Dougie making a while 808 before Kanye. Matter fact. Listen close. Don’t Doug e beat sound like “last call” by Kanye and Cole. The bassline. Or am I trippin. The interlude. Drake does that. The talking intro. Where they rapping but talking with weird atmospheric music in the background lol. Kendrick does that now. This is def the new and Old Testament of rap.
If Snoop would have done a West Coast song remake first it maybe would not have had the same impact for that time. To see the East and West together was important. This brought Hip Hop together. It merged the styles and was a positive move for Hip Hop culture. Classic on top of a Classic
I agree, in addition it just makes more sense for snoop to cover slick rick, as he clearly had a huge influence on snoop's flow and cadence, and personally I think covering someone you love and someone that inspired you as a kid is far more impactful and endearing than covering a peer of yours that probably didn't influence you very much purely because they live in the same area as you. Not that it would be wrong to do that, but this just came across as far more heartfelt and personal.
OMG I LOVEEEEE THIS!!💜💜💜 I thought that was the sweetest thing Snoop has ever sung. I love them both but no one sings this better then DOUG E and Slick Rick🥂🥂🥂✨✨✨✨✨✌️
MAN BACK WHEN I WAS YOUNG HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO ATTEND AND BE IN THE PRESENTS OF DOUGIE FRESH AND SLICK RICK THOSE CATS PUT ON A SHOW.BACK THEN YOU WOULD GO TO A CONCERT AND AS SOON AS THE LIGHTS WENT OUT YOU FLICKED ON THAT BIC LIGHTER AND INHALED SOME OF THAT FUNCKY STUFF.RED HAIR SESAMEA HOLLOA.😎😎😎😎😎😂😂
I’m so glad to see this Dougie Fresh is an original Pioneer without a doubt. With him is Slick Rick dead was a true testimony of hip-hop.. So much fun so much flavor and anybody who had a house party knew what it was about !
When Snoop 1st Dropped He Had That Story Telling Style From The Beginning, Just with A West Coast Style & Being From Detroit 2me, Snoop Style Has Always Attracted Both Coast and Everywhere in btw...Big Up's 2Snoop 4being a True & Authentic Ambassador 4Real Hip Hop for almost 3decades... " One the Best That Has Ever Did It "!!!...✌😎
The cool thing about Snoop Dogg is he's always been 100% open about all his influences (especially Funk and Early Hip Hop pioneers) so by extension a lot of his fans are more open minded than the average Hip Hop fan.
Snoop is always showing love to fellow artists. This is a beautiful thing about this man. He is where he's supposed to be. That voice. Do your thing snoop!
