There's a reason why there's a separate women compartment in the train. It's not an gender equality issue but it's actually for the protection of women given the harassment and eve teasing, women usually go through frequently in the country. And the reason why there are separate reserved seats for women and senior citizens in the general compartment, just so that they can travel more comfortably and with ease given their health. For women, it can be that she's on her periods or maybe she's pregnant and for senior citizens, it can be their age, overall health. So before commenting illogically that we need to have separate male compartments, please think through. We are not more vulnerable and exploited as compared to women and elderly citizens. As a common citizen and a man, we all need have a responsibility to make the society more safe and respectful towards our women and elderly citizens.
Call it anything, it's just an excuse to harass men. Either make the whole train unreserved or give reserved coaches to men. And stop being arrogant and trying to hide your anti male attitude and thinking by teaching me the meanings of words.

What's the point of reservation then if its provided to men as well? Its not even reservation then..its just bifurcation of coaches/seats. Talking about harassment, I know one incident where my friend faced harassment by a random stranger in the metro late at night. Luckily her station arrived meantime. A simple solution to this:- Women should first fill the ladies section and then only they should be allowed in general section, a lot of time when a women has a male companion (father, husband or son) they sit in general section, even when the ladies section is half empty, and of course they take up seat in general section by telling men to get up (don't come at me I've witnessed this a lot if time) So, if there are seats empty in ladies section then women should be told go there, even if they have a male companion with them.

I still remember when i was around 7 And delhi metro was just started, me and my mom and cousin sister nd my mosi was going to my mosi's home by metro And literally these kind of fake azz feminist woman pushed me to the male compartment, we all entered in woman compartment but bcuz of rush my mom didn't notice literally a woman forcefully pushed me towards men compartment while saying ye ladies hai! Ladies hai! Nd i didn't know which station to stop so i was literally get scared and about to cry nd one uncle asked me what happened i told him dat my mom is on next coach so he tried to take me to my mom but again few ladies were telling him that why are coming to ladies compartment with kid its not allowed please stay there. But later my mom came to search me nd took me but i didn't say that one beetch pushed me other side while entering if would have told her she must have scratched her hair at there.

Once in TN, while I was in first year of college , I was late to station and the train started, I ran and caught it only go realize it was Ladies special, thr look from entire women's sitting in the compartments, almost questioned my entire Existence 🤪🤪🤪
