He's going to be in the AHL and for good reason. He's young, and needs to develop his game. Where he's at now, he's a man among boys. The AHL will better prepare him for the big leagues. There are a lot of guys who have waited their turn too. He's only 19.
***** That might be because the Red Wings and the Griffins have not opened their full time camps yet. They open in Mid September for the Wings and he might just be there preparing until September.
