Yeah even some of her fans were lashing out on her it was a ridiculous time. I'm glad I enjoyed it.. my fave part was SWINE FEST. The deluxe version of Artpop came with the entire performance I love rewatching it. My Botticelli Punk Girl ♡
@@ginasousabranco5637 youre obsessed look at you commenting in a gaga performance video with this😍😍😍😍welcome in the fandom hun And just to let u know even if its a rip off gaga outdid madonna's performance 😍your fave has to be ashamed after gaga performed this
Artpop was ahead of it's time and that's on PERIODT. No one can look at this and say they don't see someone being absolutely authentic with authentic music
"I try to sell myself but I am really laughing because I just love the music not the bling" - Lady Gaga 2013 Honestly, I don't think she or anyone will ever beat that verse.
I have to agree with you. That line is awesome. It makes me think of people who are only in it for the money, or the bling. Not the music. Gaga is in it for "the music not the bling."
nicholas bert I feel she wouldn’t have been allowed to say that. She pushed the boat as far as she could, and went for self depreciation😔 absolute living legend
@@ginasousabranco5637 just shut up I love Madonna so much but Gaga absolutely more creative than her and btw she is great VOCALIST that Madonna could never ...!!!both are not the same at all
@@ginasousabranco5637 Madonna couldn't even stay in tune for like 3 seconds lmao. She barely could push her voice out her lungs. Don't get me wrong, Madonna is a legend but calling Gaga a Madonna ripoff is really a wrong statement. This performace was better in any way, shape or form than the one you linked.
This performance shows how artpop would sound if she had followed her instincts instead of trying to unite her complex message with her label desire for radio friendly songs. artpop is a very intellectual album dressed as generic music, that's why some people love it and others hate it
It's polarizing but I think that's what makes it so interesting. I think it would've definitely been more interesting had her vision completely pulled through.
I do hope that gaga will realize that she can actually launch her own label and release anything she has on mind. i am even disappointed that obviously, LG6 (as what her fans are naming her next album) is being delayed (and delay) all over again because of her label. gaga's Adele tweet (and the popstar tweet) are the hint of it. Sad that we (as fans) are being hindered from seeing and hearing the potential and all of her ideas because she is being caged by her label.
Xiao Buddz “Lg6” is not a name that we call it- it’s what we call an album we don’t know the name of. LG- lady gaga 6- sixth studio album. Simple as that
Coming back 7 years later and realizing this album was one of the most advanced points of psychedelic and interpersonal artistry that my generation didn't nor could comprehend at the time of it's release. I will have a family one day and show my children her performances and say, I was young then and I experienced this. For that I'm grateful.
I feel bad for anyone who missed out on the ARTPOP/ArtRAVE era. I remember BEGGING my parents at 15 to let me see the concert for this album live, and then I arrvied at the venue at 8:00AM to be the (second) person in line with a GA pit ticket. It was without at doubt it was most wild, enthralling, and beautiful show I've ever been to.
Very jealous ! I was too young at the time and never would have been able to go financially, I saw her finally at the chromatica ball and that was amazing, so sad I will never be able to experience the artrave but glad I have seen someone I look up to so much live finally. Everything that went wrong during this era for her that we know and don't know included is really a huge shame, it is an incredible body of work and deserved so much more, even though it was ahead of its time, if only things had been slightly different like DWUW staying solo or having a different feature, Vocal and instrumental productions not having been diluted e.t.c. At least it has been celebrated more than ever these past couple years, Gaga herself tweeted about the artpop petition and how it means a lot to her that finally it is getting some flowers, a truly iconic album that deserves the title of legendary.
I think she did promote it but her management was in turmoil and didn't do their part and also her detractors were so adamant at bringing her down and they were already talking trash about her and the album before she even released it. I think she was fighting against a lot of forces at the time but I liked the album myself and this song is one of the highlights of the album for me, in fact this version is better than the album version IMO.
She's so tiny and adorable. I love her and always will, no matter if her songs are on the charts or not. She helped me a lot. I hope to meet her one day and thank her for everything.
***** Just because they're skinny themselves it doesn't mean they think a chubby person is ugly, my skinny friends always tells me that I'm beautiful and I'm chubby, although they think that they are too fat.. It's all in their head. It's about low self esteem, everyone can't help it. Some people have a hard time gaining weight, I thought it was mean to say you hate skinny people like.. overall (that's what it sounded like at least). So, like, ''wtf?'' to you too.
The album version it's beautiful as it is but when she sits on the piano and performs a few seconds of the song stripped from all the other sounds, she gives you a glimpse, like a gift, of how she concieved the song, how it was born. Just her voice and a piano. And it's simply magical
I've always love ARTPOP and think it is her most interesting album. The farther along the album goes, the more that this strange aura starts to take over. Can't quite explain it.
Yeah! because they missed out hahaha I have so much merch, a ManiCure shirt, and magazines from that time. Even the v.i.p book from ArtRave.. my Artpop cd is deluxe with the Swine Fest performance ♡
I think this is one of her most underrated live performances. It came after the horrendous fall out with Troy Carter and all the evil people who literally tried to ruin her. To me, this is very much a phoenix rising from the ashes moment.
Wow....did she EVER did a bad song?? I never heard this song before. I only became a little monster about three weeks ago, by pure accident. I never took Lady Gaga that serious...thinking she was just another plastic autotune pop idol. How wrong I was! Since about three weeks - when I got the time - I've been binge watching Gaga video's, interviews and performances and I'm stunned. Stunned by her talent and stunned I didn't notice her before. She's a TRUE artist, in every meaning of the word and this performance is....just wow. I cannot find the words. Fantastic. Awesome. Pure art in it's finest form. I've always been a Bowie fan and the biggest Queen fan around since 1986, forever mourning the loss of both Freddie and David. But I cannot express how happy I am now having discovered Lady Gaga. To me she's the new Mercury, the new Bowie of this century and the new Kate Bush as well. But: a true original, just like Mercury, Bowie and Kate Bush. Of course true artists cannot be compared, there will never be another Freddie Mercury and there will never be another David Bowie. But I'm pretty damn sure there won't ever be another Lady Gaga as well. I could go on like forever, but let's keep it to this. Thank you Stefani for your music, for your performance, your charisma, your personality and...your ART! Please stay around for the coming 50 years!! :-)
I'm glad I did! ;) I'm somehow jealous you discovered her years before I did. I didn't follow pop music since my late twenties and I was born in 1971. I was 20 when Freddie died and I remember the day as yesterday. I also remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard the sad news about David Bowie. Anyhow...I've been listening to my own personal oldies since the beginning of this century. But I'm glad that I have now found a new incredibly talented true artist that is still alive! ;-) And still I'm wondering...why didn't I notice earlier?? :-\
I feel the same way. I never really cared for pop music. But I became a fan a few months ago. She is really amazing. Im also sad I've been missing out on her these past 10 or so years. But I'm here for the rest of the ride.
Im his fan from 2012 and i love her so much She has a pure heart but people judge gaga before they see who really is gaga So they dont know how much talent and pure heart gaga have ❤️
I hope someday she will make a museum with all the pianos (the paw, the burning piano, the heel, the bubble piano, the super tall piano...) and clothes, it would be so epic!
Rion some of her items are already in museums and some she has kept :) some of her items such as an outfit from Bad Romance, her Grammy outfit from 2010,and her meat dress are all in "The Rock and Roll hall of Fame and Museum"
+Rion YAS!!! Imagine all the different disco sticks lighting the way to a stairway of high heels: like the armadillo ones by McQueen, the pumps with lucite penis stilettos, the meat boots, the knee-high black patent leather studded BTW era tour boots. And rooms full of clothing & props themed for each album, like the Fame, etc. That's such a great idea! Oh, & of course, the purple pyramid studded keytar!
+Fahad Ahmed = Farthard Ahdouche. I can rhyme & mock too, point is, it's ignorant. Whether you have something positive or negative to add, form a concise thought. What you say matters to others; if you sound stupid, people will assume you are. On a side note, insulting someone in a public forum only makes you look bad, not the person you're attacking.
+Fahad Ahmed you must have a lot of time to go on a singer's videos and write your shitty opinions that no one wants to hear. Write comments like that and of course the Little Monsters are going to retaliate. Fucking hell just get off Gaga's back and leave her alone. ARTPOP was an amazing album that people have not realised changed the course of the music industry because she introduced a new and fresh genre that people are now using to produce music.
then why the fuck would you comment on my comment, when i and obviously the rest of the people on here to watch this performance, don't want to hear your opinion? You make no sense, move along.
+CaptainEnigma Avenged God, I love this performance too, I love too how she bounced back with grace from the over opinionated haters. This is real talent.
@@legendsrule8968 If Gaga and her fans can belong together then her art and pop culture can belong together. "We could, we could belong together ARTPOP" She's screaming out to not stick to the status quo of pop culture in 2012/13. Lot's of people didn't get the album or understand it upon it's release however if she released this album post 2018 it'd would of been incredibly succesful
Sounds alternate. Sounds pop. Sounds old. Sounds modern. And risky. And the face of Lady Gaga. I was very critical of previous work in this pop artist. But now she's really showing what he can do. Sound different and alternative relative to other current pop artists. My congratulation Lady gaga great job.
I'm so happy somebody (for example you) noticed it. This song is really different. It reminds me different songs but no one. And the sound is so good. Thank you for giving her a chance to show you her best.
Where did heavy criticism and negative with respect to the work that Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was producing in his previous albums. Never liked what she was doing at the beginning of his career as Lady Gaga. I always thought she was more limiting your talent with pop songs midianas. But with this her new job, she did something very different! A sound and my personality in pop and electronic music today as produtor.Se one day I can do something with it or have a very happy to produce an entirely different that has touched the world of current pop music sound oportunidade.Ficaria. I make electronic music and very different from the alternate path atuas compositores.Sigo pop. And Lady Gaga loves this alternate world.
I'm not trying to be mean, but it's really hard to understand what you say in English because you make very essential grammar mistakes or you use a terrible translator. Like this part: "...one day I can do something with it or have a very happy to produce an entirely different that has touched the world of current pop music sound oportunidade..." what???? I'm not a native English speaker, but please, use a better translator or something.
This performance deserves soooooooooooo very much credit it's a masterpiece! the hair the outfit the stage the melodies the way she plays at the piano how she manages to get down on those stairs where she couldn't see a single fucking step...
+utopiachild71 The safest way to do it is barefoot as she can feel the stairs with her feet as she goes down them.. With shoes on she would have probably fell and broke her neck..
I truly believe people didn't understand this album. She doesn't care about sales, she just celebrated artpops birthday this year that's how you know she actually cares about what she produces. This album in my mind was too artistic for people to truly understand.
+Darvey Clint Gario It takes time for artworks to become recognized as masterpieces. Time will reflect on this album differently. I instantly like it, but I am waiting for people to recognize her genius.
I agree so much. This generation doesn't deserve her talent. They would rather give their views to trash like Work From Home and other songs that all sound the same.
Artpop It's sad. I pray to God she can make a comeback and get The Fame Monster type of sales. She deserves it. The next single release is gonna be so critical for her career. It's either make or break!
...that's definitely not true a single can not break an artist of her caliber. Even if she is not as big a force as she was when she premiered, she is incredibly talented and has made a permanent influence in pop culture--she will always have a great number of fans, more than a lot of artist in America.
***** Mine too. This is my fave performance and i dont usually have one. When i saw this the first time i immediately fell in love ♥ its just really beautiful and always makes me want to get up and dance and sing with her :D.
Anyone who says she can't sing is wrong and have no idea what good singing sounds like. I'm a singer/songwriter and am in awe of her talents and skill.
+Taylor how so? The best producers were on it, David Guetta (Fashion!), Zedd (Aura, Donatella, G.U.Y), Madeon (Mary Jane Holland, etc.) and the list goes on.
+Taylor The album was mediocre because of the poor writing, not the actual production. Zedd, Madeon etc did a fantastic job with the production and the album was praised for its production
If you do not like her, that is fine. However, that is your opinion. Gaga has changed my life with the album ARTPOP. It defiantly 'freed my mind'. Helped me fined my artistic side, and thanks to this album I am doing piano lessons, drawing, painting, and after listening to her interviews I started losing weight after I found out she also struggled with an eating disorder. I was very obese (16.5 stone) and now I am 9 stone. And I am 16 years old. So all I can say is thank you Gaga! :)
monachairlines totally agree!! Thanks to Gaga I started to see life in a different way, a better way, with a smile on my face, accepting myself as I am, I stared bass lessons, dancing lessons, caring about myself, my body, my mind. I don't care what people say, I am me, thank u Gaga. I love music but I love this artist.
Tonight my mom, and I were watching Jimmy’s show with a musical guest. I told her about how Jimmy gives room to artists when they perform. The biggest one I could remember was this performance. I showed her how stunning this was and she was blown away by it all. Little did I know it’s going to be 10 years since Gaga gave us this album. I bought this album when it first came out, and it is one of the best that I own. Lady Gaga, you are a true artist. ❤
I agree - not many people can sound this good with only a piano - no auto tune a she’s awesome. This reminds me a little of Tori Amos - she sounds best just playing a piano (sometimes two) and singing.
no, i dont think its because of gen z, i think its because of the timeline of everything and her hip, her management, artpop ws mess, it was a great album though.
such an unexpected title track. didn't sound like what I thought it would, I was pleasantly surprised. probably one of the best title track songs I've heard
This album was meant to push the boundaries and merge ART & POP two things that don't really go well together, because one is deep and the other is shallow, she wanted to make them belong together, through her (the way she's been doing since her 1st album, making Pop Music in a very Theatrical way, very Artsy, very dramatic, putting on fashion to expand the performance Art out of the stage into real life (like you see Paparazzi taking photos of her artistic fashion instead of her drunk at a club or with boyfriends) because she wanted to control the argument of her own fame, for them to focus on her artistry instead of her celebrity, she had such a master degree on Fame culture like you cannot believe, even experimented on it, took a purple teacup with flowers print everywhere she went doing interviews and the teacup became famous, proving what a powerful imagery that can be, using her own fame as a vehicle for even an object ☕ to make the news, it did make the news. 😅 She was just 23 years old, 22 when she started. Genius! So going further on that, she wanted ARTPOP to be a "reverse Warholian expedition" in which instead of the Pop Icon like Marilyn Monroe going into the canvas, becoming Art, in Pop Art, she wanted to reverse it now with ART or "the canvas" going into the POP Icon, her: Lady Gaga. Into Pop Culture. ARTPOP. When she had avant-garde fashion on, theater makeup on, very creative wigs, headpieces, crazy shoes, she's making Art out of herself, with powerful imagery, as a "Pop Star" who makes Pop Music but also experimented on the music (she did that too on all her previous albums bringing what's next in music, but pushed it further on this album) to bring technology, the future (that's why this album is so ahead of it's time, it came out in 2013 and just now it's getting more recognition) it's experimental in the sounds and entire production of the music and vocals, nobody got it then, it wasn't commercial because commercial meant to be basic for it to be catchy and POPular, for the radio, instead, this was very out there, very ARTsy, not for everyone. At first she thought about making two parts, one more Pop the other more Art experimental, but then it would go against the concept idea of them belonging together so I believe she put the most experimental songs on the 1st half and the most Pop songs on the 2nd half, the song ARTPOP is in the middle of the album as a bridge that merges both Worlds together and the song is self explanatory in the lyrics, "we could belong together ARTPOP". Let's talk about how this song in particular "ARTPOP" gives me underwater vibes, totally on purpose because if you close your eyes and imagine Botticelli's Aphrodite or Venus how she was born in the sea from a giant oyster, I can almost feel the bubbles surrounding the Venus on her seashell under the sea, is crazy but it gets you there! Or if you like mermaids, that could be too, half reality, half fantasy, it's so brilliant!!! 🎶🐚♀️💖🎨👌🏻 But nobody talks about that, seems like only I noticed it. :/
I can totally see where you're going with the underwater vibes, I see it that way too. It also sets the mood for watching art pieces in a submarine. I loved reading your comment, it helped me understand more of Gaga's intent to express herself in the album
She always gives everything in her everytime she performs it's just beautiful to watch you can truly feel how into it she is. Rockstar behavior! Or just an artist :)
I am not the biggest fan of Lady Gaga but, damn this album was underrated. People didn't want her to change/evolve so they underappreciated such a great album.
Justice for #ARTPOP. ARTPOP has returned to the Top 5 on US iTunes, 7 and a half years since release. It's never a bad idea to show Lady Gaga's diverse catalog some love and appreciation. #BuyARTPOPoniTunes.
She is always so ahead of her time... It's almost as if she traveled from the future and is blessing all of us peasants with her Godly transcendental vocals YAASSSS
What a star, our generation will not appreciate her until she is gone. We live in a world where everything is disposable. Remember when you decide to throw something in the trash that gaga is recyclable and can be used forever, a true artist that can be moulded into countless things. I love you!
robert patuson some time this year, we don't know yet but all we know is its being recorded as we speak and its called LG5 or something and that it will sound a lot like her older stuff
You're right: Lady Gaga is often misunderstood because she's too much genius and innovative. Anyway she will remain in the music world for far in the future
Lady Gaga is a Genius! Her music is in tune with human consciousness. I didn't understand this album at the time. I was stuck on the "Fame" and "Born this way" albums. Lady Gaga Just don't subliminaly sell us to those in power.
no..you are a LEGEND if you do it...Lady Gaga is a POP LEGEND...she will be bigger than Madonna in the future...just wait...shes doings very smart...she just realased a Jazz album with TONY BENET...a Jazz legend ♥
This is the best performance I've seen of this song. It really is so good, the lightning, the outfits, the stage, the opening in the piano. It really is high quality thing!
This, and the iTunes London show are my 2 favourites. Both magical in different ways.

Gaga nuts, but she is not a sell out and I am starting to really understand these lyrics. She is not gonna change who she is and if people don't like that it doesn't matter she is Gaga, she is not going anywhere and she will never sell herself like the rest of them. Her voice is pure and her mission is simple. I love her, Mother Monster
I personally thing ARTPOP album is her most personal album, it was a celebration of her pain, its very raw and primal, from songs like dope, swine, artpop and do what u want, and we Little Monsters share that with her, something the rest of the world missed to see. I love ARTPOP and its always in my consciousness.
+Doubleyouexwhyamzed OMFG samee, the only songs from AP i didnt listen to much were jewels and drugs and mary jane holland. I loved it. I have NO idea why people thought it was different. It was better than anything she had done by then.
The only artist I can deal with such outrageous performance,Lady Gaga. There are artist who are only good on their studio audios but actually does a fail in their live voices.
I can’t help but feel like not enough people understand the scary depth of her message. She shared a secret with us here, one time and one time only. Listen closely.
Yeah, the poetry tells us something and I’m in love with the message In particular love the ‘Brushes with darkness won’t help you create your destiny of self but ARTPOP could mean anything’
Have you noticed just how strangely... human she looked once the song was done and Jimmy Fallon came up to wrap up the show? It's nice to see her like that once in awhile.
April 14th of 2021 and i listening this performance on repeat! ARTPOP is number 1 all over the world, after 8 years!!! Let's celebrate Little Monsters and make justice for ARTPOP!
