It truly is amazing just how natural these 80's remixes sound! You'd swear they were actually from that era if you had no idea these were really modern songs at first too!
This brings so many memories.. backseat of my father`s car could tell stories... used to borrow it every now and then to play hustla to college girls... sold in `92... where is that car now? :/
I had just turned 18 when she put this out. I was at the Idle Wild, the local skate rink, I was doing the splits and flips into the splits and spinning like a maniac.
@@cxhen1231 Woolworths was a very successful high street shop here in the UK that sold reduced goods such as physical copies music as well as clothes and was most famous for its large selection of sweets and candy.
@@georgelane6996 well this thread just brought back a flood of memories of going to Woolworths... Imagine this record being sold in the 'top charts' section.
This came out when I was in West Germany for REFORGER. I bought it at the PX and listened to it over and over. They loved it in the discos over there too
I start listening to some old r&b and youtube recommend this. Awwwww, good old time when i was a child and my mom always listened to this song on her radio.
Fun fact: Lady Gaga was offered the role of Fantine in the original London production of Les Miserables, but Andrew Lloyd Webber told her that the show wasn't likely to be successful, and instead he ended up convincing her to originate the role of Dinah the Dining Car on Starlight Express. Sadly she ended up tripping on her roller skates and hitting her head in the final dress rehearsal before the first preview, causing her to lose all her memories and be put in suspended animation from 1984-2007. And of course we all know what she went on to do after that.
WOW! 😻Am a huge fan of both acts and these 2 songs in particular. A Masterful Remix! Annie Lennox still had red hair when "Here Comes The Rain Again" was released in 1983. The altered photo here was taken from the "Revenge" album cover released in 1986. Great album too!
I've heard pretty much all of the great mash-ups out there but this is something else. This is next level. I was mad that you were calling it a "remix" cause really its a mash-up but its so much more. This is really special. Nice job.
I never forgave Peter Gabriel for convincing Stefani Germanotta Sr. to leave the Eurythmics to pursue a solo career. I mean, Annie Lennox was an okay replacement, but the original lead singer of any group is always the best.
