I would love to hear Angelina sing it again now at 17. At 8, her tone, emotion, and subtle inflections outshined even Dinah Washington's Grammy winning performance.
Lady Gaga is definitely entertaining but my favourite version of this song is by Angelina Jordan. She was 8 years old standing alone on an outdoor stage between a sea of people and delivering an unforgettable performance. Don’t let her age fool you. She is an old soul. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZSfgCIGd7k4.html
Sod this. What's the big deal? Listen once again to Dinah Washington's recording of this and you'll get my question. It's easy to impress an audience that doesn't know any better.
I can only agree with you. Every time she sings a cover, she completely destroys it, there’s no emotion in her voice. Dinah Washington version is breathtaking.
TRUE! Everything about the original is better. Even the orchestral backup. Warmer, smoother. Like a Brooklyn Sunday morning after a hit in 71'. Or the end of a grand jury and , your going away for a while. Just smooth and able to communicate any situation but they use it for gangster movies alot.
Thanks Michelle for recording this for all the people that can’t make it to one of Gaga’s live events. She’s even better live. She’s so fricken good. Jazz or pop, I love her.
Little Esther, her version is the one I remember. Lady Gaga's is romantic and ok sensual. Esther's is raw and driving, and I have to say, unforgettable.
I can't believe how truly stupid some of your comments are comparing Lady Gaga to others rather than just listening to how well her rendition of this song is. She is a very talented artist with her own unique style that she was using in a live performance setting.
What a difference a day made, twenty four little hours Brought the sun and the flowers where there use to be rain My yesterday was blue dear Today I'm a part of you dear My lonely nights are through dear Since you said you were mine Oh, what a difference a day made There's a rainbow before me Skies above can't be stormy since that moment of bliss That thrilling kiss It's heaven when you find romance on your menu What a difference a day made And the difference is you, is you
