When you said "curvaceous" followed by "naked" I swear I laughed out loud. If that Porsche was a woman I'd be arrested. AMAZING work there. Keep em coming
That bit with the t-shirt that Alan showed on one of his vlogs is what brought me to your channel a few weeks ago, I have watched plenty of your other stuff before seeing this vlog in full, great stuff, very motivating, keep it up!
Jim I've been watching your content for about a month and I must say your attention to detail is amazing! I have been catching up on the history of Porsche so I definitely enjoyed the before and after of this beautiful 964. Only wish I knew someone like you or the boys at AMDetails in my neck of the woods, Ontario, Canada. Keep up the great details. Glad I stumbled across your channel!
When I saw the pic you'd posted to Instagram of the residue in your bucket I was hoping there'd be a video to go with it. As echoed in the other comments, currently the best detailing Vlogs on youtube (sorry AMDetails)
Love your video's and the level of detail you share. I've been getting deep into my blk 964 C4 Cab myself. Great work, keep them coming. Cheers! Geoff.
Love. Your stuff. How about a little on business plans . How you got started and more importantly the hard lessens you've learnt to help us budding newbie professional detailers.
I'm a big fan of WhiteDetails, and when I saw this I went looking for your Macan. Is yours the gorgeous blue one he posted on his Instagram around January 2017? Would love an update on just how good it looked then, and how you are doing with it almost 4 years on. I think it would be cool for Jim to do a "revisited" VLOG (If he wasn't so busy) of past clients of his and how things are for them years down the road.
I love your videos, please keep them coming. Have learned so much from you. Just one request, could you list the products you use on each job. Would be awesome, thanks! Awesome job btw!
Obsessed Garage hey Matt, so cool you've stumbled across my good friend Jim's vids! Found you via Adam LZs vids a while ago, looking forward to seeing his garage complete.
Just watched this again Jim because I remember you touching up those paint chips I've watched again because some barstards threw an egg at my car and damaged the paint on my bonnet so a touch up needed
you have been asked this thousands of times, but your car lift/jack is great and I wondering where you got it from? Dream garage ever for the non-detailer just for the DIYer.
Jim you're a genius ... to be honest I recognize that I'm a bit of a fan of cars. And I want to work on that passion. Only ... mmm what polishing recommendations ?. Some of the more specific brands would help a lot. Since there are so many and there are no recommendations of them more than just competitions for their profits and none for the customers.
Love these videos. Couple questions. Have you considered picking up a Rupes Nano iBrid? It would seem a lot less cumbersome than the Makita(?), and I would think you would get a bit more control with it. Second, have you considered using a vacuum connected to a trash can, for dust control, similar to Ammo NYC's contraption in his 138 hour detail video? Looked like it worked for him, and may be a better solution for you.
Thanks Kormick - I do keep meaning to pick up the iBrid, soon... That said, I feel the rotary/ShineMate 40mm pads would still have their place. The ability to 'sink' or 'flow' the pad into grooves, channels and intricate areas which i feel you would struggle with with the DA action. Yeah, saw the vacuum/trash can system on Larry's video - something I may look into in the New Year.
Hi Jim, just wondering how you avoid holograms with the 1” rotary? I’ve tried too use a waxing pad & fine polish, And also using little to no pressure but still find myself with the occasional holograms is there any additional information that could help with my Problem? Thank you
Awesome video! So when someone tells me they had their car wet sanded, compound, polished, glazed and sealed and it took less than 8 hours... what is the detailing term for BS?
Loving the work still mate, quick question. What would you recommend as an affordable polisher, been working on cars in my house for a while now but hand polishing is very time consuming and I need something quality that will improve the finish and save me some time whilst not breaking the bank :) cheers
There is a polish machine from Dodo juice which should be really good for beginners. Or from Liquid Elements. So the machine is the same only the brands are different.
Great video! I really enjoyed it. I also do great videos. You're a natural, keep it going! I gave you a thumbs up! Glad to see a fellow youtuber like me doing what they love. Never give up!! if you're interested be sure to check my out my channel, hope to see a lot more from you.
