If you guys loved GMK, you should watch/re-watch the Heisei Gamera trilogy. It is by the same director, Shusuke Kaneko, an awesome OST by Kow Otani, but less synth. Also, the VFX director for these movies and GMK was Shinji Higuchi, back then he used to be one of the writers at Gainax studio. He later co-directed Shin Godzilla with Hideaki Anno.

I'm a simple man, I see a top 10 Godzilla list, I click. Godzilla vs. Megalon was actually my first Godzilla film when I was a kid and got me hooked on Kaiju films. Also holy fucking shit they did a steel-book release of Mothra! I had no idea until I just watched your video and immediately went and got a copy. Earlier this year I searched everywhere for months trying to find a good copy of that movie and all I could find was crappy multi movie pack versions and the quality was pretty nasty. Can't wait to see it and add it to my collection. Your list was awesome!!! Love your Godzilla videos.

My favorites are all the ones with the Different versions of Mechagodzilla, Godzilla vs King Ghidorah(91),GMK, Megaguirus,and right now my fav is KTOM(2019)seen it 3xs already,thank You guys for spreading the word,as Adults we rewatch those and sometimes cringe but it's all fun,but when were young(I'm a 70's kid) growing up on these they were absolutely awesome😂👍

GMK is certainly an amazing film, easily my top 5 and probably my absolute favorite godzilla design, like a mix of showa and heisei fused and updated for the era. Fun video, great list, hyped for future films!

I'm gonna be honest, I haven't watched all the Godzilla movies, hell, probably not even half, though some I watched portions of them on tv. That being said, I loved this video and it made me wanna go and watch the ones I didn't.

FYI, I think the Criterion release is going to include the Japanese version of "King Kong vs Godzilla." It might be interesting to watch to see if its better than the current international cut, at least in terms of dialogue and story.

Years ago I was able to get the Japanese version of King Kong vs Godzilla burned unto a DVD-R. It has a completely different opening dealing with the environment. The brother is a complete jerk to his sister early in the movie. At one point he even grabs and shakes her after she teases him. Fun Fact about Godzilla GMK the original Guardian monsters were going to be: Baragon, Varan and Anguirus! Someone at TOHO decided that Varan and Anguirus weren't popular enough so they were replaced by Mothra and King Ghidorah.

Very fun films! Also if you haven’t seen them I highly recommend the Heisei era Gamera films really good kaiju films!

My wife and I seriously liked Godzilla 2019 a lot, we thought it was as close to an American-produced Japanese-style Godzilla film as you can get from a modern major studio. I think it deserves a place in any Godzilla Top 10 list. ...but, again, opinions.

Back when I was 4 years old my grandfather introduced me to Godzilla vs Biollante, my first ever Godzilla movie. After seeing it I became a huge Godzilla fan. My top 5 Godzilla films: 1. Godzilla 1954 2. Godzilla vs Biollante 3. Godzilla 2000 4. Godzilla vs King Ghidorah 5. Godzilla vs Destroyah Btw in my opinion Shin Godzilla kinda feels like a remake of the original in a way.

The hesie period is the best in my opinion its actually consistent and it knew when to end and the ending is very good to the era and that Godzilla heartbreaking seeing Godzilla dieing but it was nice seeing godzillas son grow up though the last 3 movies

So, I started watching Godzilla from the 2014 movie(honestly my first one was the 1998 version, which just didn't do it for me lol) nor did watched any previous ones. What did you'll think of the design of mechagodzilla in ready player one? Was it good and can it be bettered and adapted into a movie? Like Godzilla vs mechagodzilla in today's times?

Can you guys do a review on the late 1990s Godzilla tv series. And also, Godzilla final Wars is my favorite film, it has the best ending credits song by far.

I'd be a liar if I said that I didn't enjoy some of the cheese from the showa era of Godzilla movies, but I really feel like the Heisei era is undeniably the best collection of Godzilla movies with the legendary series and millennium era at a close second for me. I agree that the millennium series wasn't very cohesive and relatively disorganized, but there were a lot of really good concepts and solid monster fights in these movies. And as far as my top ten goes: 10. Godzilla 2014 (yeah, it's not perfect, but it's a good introduction to a new version of the king of the monsters) 9. Godzilla vs Megaguirus 8. I do like GMK. My favorite is Godzilla 2000. Why? I thought it had a funny beginning. I loved the little girl.
