Remembering the time I spent in prison with a group of Africans, mostly with Cameroonians, it was the end of the year and they began to sing and dance that night, it was magical that despite the sad moments and away from the family that night we were all one family. (Africans, South Americans, Asians, Europeans).. greetings from a Venezuelan friend!
@@nonkisibanda4021why so bitter? Do you even know the reason he landed in prison? Music is a universal language if it resonates with his soul let him be
R.I. P legends. I’m listening to this in 2023 in Scotland and I suddenly overwhelmed with feelings loving where I come from! I’m Zimbabwean, African and so proud!!!! ❤
Back in 2006/7 my dad (now late) got us this track along with a collection of other African songs. We all loved this piece and will sing and dance along with them. Listening to this now in 2022 brought so much memory, not sad memories but good memories, peace, family time, laugher and dance. From Nigeria, we’re grateful for this song❤️❤️
I hope you found peace from your loss. I just wanted you to know you touched someone else. Losing a parent is hard, I lost mine at 9 and that does not diminish your loss. Remember them and live your life to the best of your ability x
Great song, great collaboration, great performance. Viva Zimbabwe, Viva South Africa, Viva Africa. Regards, Michael M. Kamau, Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa, 7th November 2023
This song brings back old memories. My late father purchased the full album for lady Smith Black mambazo and Paul Simon. to this moment, I can mime majority of the songs. when ever I hear them, I think so much about my late parents. May their souls continue to rest in peace.
I love Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Your music 🎶 is uplifting, inspiring and fun to hear the sharp harmony ❤😂❤ I love my baby, homeless and the lion sleeps tonight gets deep down in my soul and just makes me feel so good listening to these beautiful brothers sing 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Yoh Yoh, this song is wonderfully written. Can someone please type Oliver's lyrics. There are absolutely no where in Google. I want to know what he is saying, because it just sounds so wonderful.

Heard Ladysmith perform this live in Alberta Canada about 10 years ago and it was like it was yesterday. Still gives me chills! Love and blessings from Canada!
