Well I don't know why I was expecting anything else. From the second she said her people knew how to purify the infected I was thinking "They and I know the same cure, but I like my head on my shoulders thank you ver much" I am bit disappointed to be right, to be honest.

Late to the party but: I already had a feeling this was going to lead nowhere just as soon as she said it's a *Githyanki* cure. Githyanki are notoriously xenophobic and wouldn't share such a thing with any race not their own, even if they do possess such a cure. While you can make your own character a Gith, Shadowheart, Gale, Wyll and Astarion are not, so the odds of you getting cured this way without too much fuss was pretty much nil from the start. I also suspected that, even if you did make your own character a Gith and didn't recruit the non-gith party members, they'd still tell you to piss off, because you're not part of their tribe. Githyanki are kinda notorious for being supreme assholes with massive chips on their shoulders and an unreasonable amount of insufferable arrogance. Hard as it may be to believe, Lae'zel is actually one of the nicer ones and she's a total bitch by most other races' standards. The fact that she deigns to join your group without too much fuss shows that she's either very desperate to get rid of the parasite or she's not as inundated with arrogance as the rest of her species is.

The dude didn’t do the killing, he didn’t even make sure that the group has the artifact. He just tells the underlings to kill and get the item. He is like “We are done, I will tell others..” I wouldn’t give him a lot of credibility in Gith order lol.. His management skills have room to improve:D

Meanwhile, If you are a custom gith alone for whatever reason they just accept you like you're just a lovable little oaf with a world ending artifact weapon and gently pat your bottom in the direction of the creche.

Why do I have the suspicion that the Githyanki Rider may themselves become infected before the end of the game?

0:58 I absolutely love her facial expressions and subtle unique movements. She definitely has a jerkier form of movement than other races, especially the way she moves her head, but it’s kind of endearing.

Somewhere in act 2 or maybe 3, after she further got betrayed by her own kind, I think we can inluence her to be more humane.. She seems lost, naiive and unsure of herself.. And unsually "kind" for a Gith.

Can't stand Laezel, but I teamed her up to talk to these Gith when I found them. When all I got was this scene, I was like "thank god, I don't need this obnoxious woman at all in any future playthrough."

He's not right but he's not entirely wrong. To my understanding you can just splat the head of the infected person with a sledgehammer then case resurrect on them. Brings them back but not the parasite.

I love the armor appearance but the movement of it is jarring.

I tried this encounter several ways ... and my most satisfying did take some save scumming to start. But well worth it if you want to cheese it. Ungroup La'azel up the road nearby first. I have my main as 'Chance Slenderfoot' halfling divination wizard - cast invisibility on Shadowheart. (Enhanced leap or scrolls of misty step for her exit after) Sneak her and shovel down beside the gith group. Astarion follows from the party from a different angle with a backpack full of smokepowder. Cast command drop on as many Gith as possible, use nearby stealthed divination wizard to force fails on enemy saving throws. Save scum until the legendary drops. Ideally as combat starts Astarion stealthed throws the satchel charge. 1st turn possible pick up the sword and send through the menus to La'azel. I then used shovel to scare the easiest of the gith, Now misty step or enhanced leap back to the bridge above. Queue-Fireball onto satchel charge. Sneak attacks from Astaion. Followed by flaming sphere and spiritual weapon as La'azel stealths as close as possible out of combat and then dashes and haste potion/action surge attacks the first possible enemy with the new legendary sword! Slay everyone and get loot, im not sure how this works with the lore😅 but it felt amazing tactically.

What is the extent of Vlaakith's "sight" on the realspace actions of her Githyanki warriors? Is it informants embedded in every unit, or interplanar divination?

Btw this is exactly the dialogue you get if you didn't party with Lae'Zel. Once you get there, she started talking, you can just stand aside and listen this dialogue. As she is lvl1, after dialogue she is absolutely fucking wrecked with a first hit, gith are lvl5 and party leader is lvl6. If you rez her afterwards, she will be bitching about him not being true Vlakith follower, as he didn't follow the protocol.

You can get out of the fight by lying and saying you’ll report to your creche. They cut out the dialogue choice bits.

I ended up shapeshifting into a gythanki with Tav and defused the situation.

i did this original, she died, and i decided it was a good story moment for her to die there and i snuck around them and entered act 2. She immediately respawned without withers.

Lae'zel makes that encounger harder every single time. And it's too hard if an encounter for the level you are at (without a min maxed build that is). You are just shy of level 5 but they are all level 5 and have 2 attacks. Had to leave Lae'zel at camp and have Asterion disguised as a githyanki to pass.

ahh so this is what happened to her when she asked me to come down there with her xD. I'm on my first playthrough atm and I just walked away when she ran down there LOL

So Lae’Zel isn’t the only unreasonably terrible person you meet in this game

I thought I selected wrong option when they all turned agaisnt me and the team, then sliced us into thin fine slices in a couple of turns. Seems there is no other outcome of this encounter anyway :( Maybe I will return to them when I gain a couple of levels so I can overpower them better.

Without spoiling anything. I just finished the creche quest and I decided to part ways with La'zel at that moment. With that being said this made me want to play a Gith on my next playthrough just for the sake of playing a mass murderous, delusional character. Gith have so much unlikable personality that playing an a-hole with one must be a blast 😂

I just realized something. In this version if shes alone, she has voice over. Its unlike the current version of the game where no matter what, the PC doesnt get a voice over, even if you pick one of your potential party members in the beginning, or you control one of your existing ones. They must have removed this because of the sheer number of dialogue options.

I was only trying to level up my characters as soon as Laezel wandered off and then next thing you know? She got killed by her own people 💀 I was like ".......what the FUCK happened?!?"

One thing bugging me about Lae'zel's quest is that if you were to roleplay as her or have your character believe her idea to be legitimate, if you were to head straight for the patrol as she pretty much wants to do after finding its location, you'd potentially be way too underleveled (unless you cheese it) to fight them and thus have to make an expedient retreat or die. I do kind of wish there was more obstacles in the way before getting to them. Whilst she is a bit naive and typically arrogant for a Githyanki, I do actually imagine th Fiere is some sort of procedure but it is probably reserved for the Dragon riders. I reckon she is telling the truth about Githrak Voss. They already broke protocol apparently following the ship into Avernus and the Artifact doesn't want to be handed to them. I reckon Voss is working for one of the other factions hunting the device. Probably been told he can rule the Githyanki if he recovers it.

I have this headcanon at 1:16 that Baretha, the Githyanki pulling out the two-handed sword, is just an adorable cinnamon bun that is trying her best. Shame. :(

my first run at the game was whit 4 warlocks i made named; Murder, Marder, Morder and Merder. i killed absoulutely every npc and creature i see, ive just gotten to these boys, time for them to die as well

I choose githyanki for my pc and after seeing all the interactions im really not a good githyanki i dont use half the options they are mean and very socially stupid overpractical and such honor warrior culture i really dont fit in lol
