Unfortunately, I must disagree with the comments below. THIS WAS ONLY A CAR FIRE. There was no rescue or anything to be saved. Urgency is one thing when there are lives to be saved. Running with a hose line only creates a possible fall and injury. Use your enthusiasm when it really counts. As far as the saw, I've never seen that used in that way, not saying that it was incorrect though. It all depends on the S.O.P.
Ed Loeffler well it was exposed to a building and some other cars, any fuel leak or explosion could’ve spread the fire. (And when you’re in California, expect the building to made out of wood)
They are required by Department policy to open the trunk on all vehicle fires in order to verify that there isn’t a person in the trunk area of the vehicle.
I've watched most of the fire coverage on (RU-vid) and have come to the conclusion that firefighters in general just want to break things. They also show little respect for public property. I've watched firefighters use these "saws" and have no idea how to use them. I've watched them trying to gain entry into a building through a locked door and the fire has been subdued by the time they gained entry.
@@flyinghigh7847 brother i have to agreee with 310, unless you do it every day the average person has no clue.. Besides in this case the car is totaled, its a great time to practice
@@anthonyklein1879 Thanks for your your reply. Though I agree with you in that "it's a good time to practice", please watch this link from 14.28 in, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jREOS_uchC8.html now tell me that these firefighters are showing respect for Peoples property. I guess you wouldn't mind your car being used as a rest for that nozzle and scraping your car, That is a lot of damage at least a full wing re-spray, very costly indeed.
@@flyinghigh7847 the last thing they are worried about in that video you showed is the car. Their main concern is putting the fire out and stop it from spreading to other buildings. Is it a shitty thing yes but shit happens that's what insurance is for let the insurance company figured it out. if they worried about pussyfooting around the cars then you probably say they are moving to slow to get the fire out. so no matter what shit is going to happen to a car if it's parked next to a building that's on fire.
