@@onthewater4189 Scott makes a valid statement. I am a retired Fire Captain 30 years on the job and I noticed the same thing, if the one of my crew was not fully suited up and he got injured when I would have to fill out the accident report my BC would have my ass for not making sure my guys were protected.
@@onthewater4189 no one gets paid to be an "armchair" incident commander. Why are you so against personal safety on the fireground? Interestingly, a quick look at your recent comments on RU-vid seem to reveal that you yourself are an armchair commenter. It seems you troll firefighting videos and make sarcastic comments, frequently using the word "armchair".
@@mikemissel7785 I was referring to the guy that grabbed the hose line and made the initial attack on the fire. No mask. Should be against SOP and punishable. In +/‐ 10 years when these firefighters that refuse to mask up file claims for occupational cancer treatment, they should be denied. And these videos will be used by the insurance companies as evidence to support the denial. This isn't a station 33 problem, it's nationwide. I 100% support firefighters. But If you refuse to use the equipment you're provided to protect yourself and your health, you're responsible for the outcome.
