This product was sent to me by Lager Toys for review. There was no money exchanged and this is not a paid promotion. In this video I review the Lager Toys 1/1 Automatic Voice Changer Darth Vader Helmet that was released in late January. The product retails for $299 and arrives in 7-14 days. It is a two-piece helmet that includes the dome and the faceplate and the two connect together via a locking mechanism. Any other questions, let me know!

Thanks for reviewing this. I was wondering when someone would get their hands on it. It looks better than I expected it to be. For $300, just get the EFX helmet. It's far more accurate.

Np, Julio! Yeah same here actually, but I agree, the EFX seems to be the better choice considering they're the exact same price. I've never owned an EFX, but I've heard great things and it looks very nice. This product has a few flaws holding it back.

I got my vader helmet from anovos.yes..i do agree that it's pretty decent for one to own if you can't afford the one like anovos.the box size too is about the same with anovos.what i don't like bout this helmet is the green speaker that can be seen underneath the mouth chin area.....the rest of it..the size..the colour....i guess its ok...you can spray the two toned colour black and gunmetal if you want to be like the exact replica and it's better looking compared to the supreme edition darth vader helmet produce by rubies..anyway...good unboxing review bro.thanks

Thanks so much, Mohd! Yeahhhh the anovos seems to be the top of the line for vader helmets. I've also heard great things about the EFX. Yes, the green speaker under the chin is likely going to be a deal breaker for hardcore collectors and I don't quite understand why its there, or at the very least it should be hidden. But its a decent product overall for the price.

Looks like the Revenge of the Sith helmet, which I prefer over the OT helmets. That damn voice changer sticks out like a sore thumb though.

Great Review truly. I'm actually very impressed with this I must say. It just looks so accurate to the original and v good value too. If they'd sort out the few wee flaws I think this would be a TOP CLASS product!!

Yeah but looking again, my EFX was 300 and this looks every bit as sturdy as that if not maybe more. Efx is pretty accurate, but it's still expensive for plastic. Not to mention extra features. I'm baffled at the green speaker, is it really not easily removed? I got the Black series and it's fun but a little weird at some angles. For 99 bucks tho.

Yeah not bad for $99, but the EFX is far superior at 300 to this helmet at the same price-point.

3kg seems awfully heavy for a plastic helmet. My fiberglass helmet is just under 4lbs. 3kgs is roughly 6.6lbs. Are you certain about the weight?

I'm honestly not sure since the review was so long ago. I don't think Lager Toys even exists anymore :(

I love how their box CLEARLY shows the two-tone paint job and then they completely blew it on the actual piece. At that price-point, that’s unforgivable

Actually I believe this helmet is more drawn towards ROTS. It looks thinner and symmetrical. I bought it for €120 and I am loving it. I own the Rubies and the Black series as well and this is by far my favourite. The two tone colour looked good on film. but I had it done to one of the Rubies and in real life the two colours look like garbage. Like someone forgot to finish painting it. At the end it is preferance and I prefer all black like ROTS.

@@MRLASTSONOFKRYPTON if it didn't look good, they didn't nail the colors. I have the EFX, a completely reworked and repainted Rubies Supreme, and a repainted black series and they ALL look amazing. Even the slightly cartoony black series.

@@d_jedi1 like I said it is preference. I had the efx and sadly sold it but the two tone and a few Black series painted I have seen look like rubbish to my eyes. Unless one plans to be in the dark the whole time. But to each their own. We all have different likes I suppose. Cheers

I slightly disagree, i think it’s better than alright. Is it perfect? no, but the helmet actually looks pretty damn good!. It’s very close to how it looks in the films. The only things holding it back from being a great helmet are the magnet in the dome, it could be a bit stronger like the Black Series one. And the voice changer should be painted black, the fact that it stands out in the mask makes it look a bit weird. But overall, it’s a pretty accurate Darth Vader helmet!

⁠@@WillFoxification I just got this helmet two days ago. I ordered it from China. It took 2 months for it to get here. But it’s finally here. It’s actually better than you think, it looks really good! They’ve got rid of that green circle thing in the chin vent, now it looks perfect! at least to me anyway. I’m very happy with it!! The helmet is pretty accurate! It looks a lot like the Revenge of the Sith helmet. It certainly puts my old Black Series Vader helmets in shame in terms of accuracy!

This helmet is definitely better than Hasbro's Black Series. I think if Lager Toys took the time to paint the face mask in the correct two tone paint scheme and took out the voice changer, this would be a really good replica for not a lot of money!!

I think it is too. When I originally saw the promo art of the black series I thought it looked good. After seeing it now post-release, I think it looks terrible. I would not buy the BS personally, I think it's one of their worst looking helmets. Its very narrow.

Officer Hugh Downing this helmet is better looking than the bs but the bs has way more detail and more of a cool factor I have both on display next to each other

They put a rubies supreme dome on a rubies standard face mask part. So for about $130 you could have basically the same thing without the reveal details or voice changer. Plus you’d have a few extra parts.

Sounds like a better deal to me! This one is honestly overpriced. I'd go for an EFX if you were gonna spend 300. Anovos if higher :)

On camera, it looks to me like the face mask is solid black and not the two-tone black/gunmetal paint that is used on more screen accurate helmets. Am I correct or does it just look that way on the video? Great job by the way!!!

Thanks so much, David! TBH I'm not entirely sure. I believe it's a solid black but I don't entirely know as I can't say I know too much about different paint colors/jobs. I believe it is a solid black though.

its worth about $50 ,black series is $100 better quality,this looks better but f...that for $300. they should take out the padding and the voice changer and sell it for 100.

Nice. Too bad you couldn't figure out the voice changer though x.x Probably one of the gold pieces or something but just really well hidden. I might get me one myself, I plan on doing a Vader just for fun. More better quality costume anyway :P Probably A New Hope or something since I already have the removable blade fx lightsaber =] Been finding better suits online and glowing boxes too so. Been my dream to have a full Darth Vader costume with better quality pieces :P

Voice box is in on top of mask and is held by velcro.it has off\on button and is decent. I just received mine a week ago and I am loving it. I own the Rubies and Black series but this is my favourite. I painted the green speaker.

looks better then rubies and black series. but not as good as efx and is now cheaper then it was in the video. and with a few mods definetly 501st approved. thinking about getting one

this helmet is dope, it's pretty accurate to Revenge of The Sith. I will say that I agree, the voice changer being shown through the chin part is kinda ehh. But for the most part I think it's a cool helmet, though I have the black series one and I think it's a little better- though this one is more movie accurate, it has it's flaws. But it's very cool

I want it to use on my costume. I have a modified rubies supreme costume and unlike most people i like the ROTS style over the two toned color mask of the original trilogy

THIS One looks WAAAY Better than the black series, Simply because the helmet is not the original A.N.H. design. Tha' face part is on point There. To keep it in place, install some neodymium magnets.... It Will stay in place.

If Ya' pay close attention to his side Profile, Notice how how it kinda look Uhh'mm,..."Flat-Faced" The lower-neck part hung too far down,... And his helmet from the front view is a bit too widely spread...... I'm not at all being harsh, crazy,....None ah' Dat'.......All I'm Sayin' is that "They" should've replicate the "Original Vader" suit for that scene.

chemicalsam compared to what? The black series is smaller than this helmet and hell of a lot smaller than a 1:1 replica honestly the black series is the smallest and most wear able of all these helmets
