I always appreciate the attention to detail on these walkthroughs. Taking the time to show the crane lowering the tender, having Sam, the engineer, walkthrough the engine room and Chris explaining the history of the company that built the yacht is really great stuff. I may sound a little ignorant here because I’m going to mention that show Below Deck, but because I’ve been watching that show, I’ve started paying more attention to the crew’s job on a yacht (understanding that it is reality tv). I say this to mention that throughout these walkthroughs, I pay a lot of attention to the crew areas and how they’ll move throughout the boat. So showing that little secret door is appreciated. I believe when I finally get around to getting my own boat (speak it into existence) one of the things I’ll be fairly particular about is the comfort of the crew and the cabins. I like to see crew cabins that are a little bigger than the minimum requirements. So basically, if I had any feedback, it would be to perhaps show the quarters if at all possible because I look forward to that part in particular on each video. Great job as always! People get to watch these for free and they _still_ have complaints hahaha!! You guys are killing it! I really look forward to these every notification!

Thanks a lot, Judge. Your comments are always appreciated. Re: crew areas, we think you're 100% right. It's actually an area of the boat that is the most challenging to film. Mainly because the crew are typically living onboard in ways the owners + guests are not (fuller closets, more laundry, more dishes to clean, a little more clutter, etc). The last thing we want to do is inconvenience the crew more than we already are. They are doing a lot behind the scenes to make the boat look awesome for our videographer, Ryan. Very busy all the way around. Asking them to make each of their rooms 'perfect' is a lot in light of all the work they are already doing. Hope that makes sense. And like your comment about larger crew areas. Its a trend we love to see taking place on newer boats being built now in just about every yard. :)
@JudgeDredd_
@JudgeDredd_ 5 лет назад
Denison Yachting totally makes sense. One of the things I forget when watching these is that there is usually an active crew at the time of filming. I’m sure even making time to film is a little inconvenient for them. Shoutout to Ryan! Yeah I’ve been reading about a lot of redesigns and how larger quarters for the crew have been a point that owners have been making. I like that for some reason.
@basstrammel1322
@basstrammel1322 5 лет назад
There's no shame in watching BD! At the end of the day that cast is actually working members of the crew too. The crew quarters is my favourite part when I watch yacht walkthroughs on RU-vid, as they always seem very different from yacht to yacht.

t's very hard to film the crew area, as many times the crew are actively working while we're filming and we want to respect their privacy and also don't want to ask them to spend a lot of time cleaning up their area for a video while they're responsible for making the rest of the yacht perfect... we're doing our best to make this happen on future videos, but also wanting to be respectful....

great observation and a great question. it's actually very common for a boat this size to have a helm seat 'missing' and/or portable to be installed for larger passages. most fo the time during the day and in good weather, the cpt is on the flybridge, where there is a helm seat.

@Dobermanator
@Dobermanator 5 лет назад
You are correct, I missed that. It's a somewhat old boat, the layout of the upper deck suggests the dome was not there originally, it was likely a needed electronics update at some point. For the price being asked for this vessel, you can make a lot of changes and still be under valued. You could mount large screens to the dome facing aft (inwards to the people) and on the opposite fwd side HD camera's facing forward. When people are sitting at the table they will only see whats on the other side of the dome. Just kidding, if it was mine I would add and mount it on a second bridge wing and make it so both wings can provide overhead sun shade via interconnecting / movable soft top. Appears they went to great lengths to keep things symmetrical and I think that can still be achieved.

A substantial part of its citizenry speaks English as a second language. As a child in the northern climes of the Bayou State every time I would buy a dozen pieces of candy from a storekeeper he'd drop an extra piece in the sack and say, "Lagniappe!" It means a little extra as a gesture of good will.

OK, fair enough. But owners do put a lot of thought into the names of their ships and this one is a bit of well-known cultural "slang" that's not hard to figure out. Why someone chose to name her is at least as important as how many decks or how long she is.

Greetings from Colorado! I can't believe you would make an entire video promoting a very expensive experience and not learn how to pronounce the ship's name, let alone what the name means... Shame on you

It wasn't that detailed! You didn't mention the captains cabin or show it. Didn't show engineering cabin. Didn't show crew cabins....Very poorly done!

so how long did it take the owner to pull his listing from you once he realized you couldnt be bothered enough to be professional enough to even do the simplest thing aka know how to correctly say the boat's name???🤔 ffs dude...

Learn to pronounce the name correctly !!!!! Ask the engineer .... he pronounced it correctly. phonetically it is (Lan yap) NOT ( Lag nap) it means something given as a bonus or something extra. Like a 13th donut instead of 12 in dozen.

Multi million dollar yachts you get paid ridiculous money to broker and most of the videos have horrible blurry footage so you can't even see the details of craftsmanship that is put into them. Not very professional. Disappointing lack of editing.why even bother putting in blurry footage!

Hey knuckel head leadro some of us smart people want to go places and don't want to wait on the weather/wind. And then when the wind does blow, we don't want to be in a boat that is always at a 35-40° degree list to port or stbd. I am an avid boater. I have a 70' ft HATTERAS Motor Yacht and I am always having to watch the bedsheets boats going all over the place because they are trying to catch the wind in the bedsheets I believe that the bedsheets should be the ones put on land because of all the bullsh t that they do just to catch the wind and then can't go in a straight line and the people aboard can't walk around on the boat because the deck is at a horrible list and don't forget all the ropes and lines holding the bedsheets and pillow cases up on a couple of tall masts that are way to tall for a radome or other important stuff, like IFF, GPS just to name a few important items. Years ago I and my family rescued a bedsh t boat and it's owners. At the time I owned a 58'ft SeaRay Sundancer... We pulled the family from the water after the bedsheets hit the water and nearly drowned the wife and son, the father and two daughters who were the younger of the children just about drowned their father by climbing on him and just about stood on his head, they definitely didn't care and we're not wearing any type of life preservers, anyway I tied the sinking bedsheets laden boat to my anchor, to keep it from going to the bottom and this is not the first time I have done this type of evolution, years and years prior, up in Maine on the Damrascotta( may be Miss spelled) river on my 31 ft PENN YANN we rescued a couple from their capsized 40'ft bedsheet flyer. So when the wind is blowing and the boat is at a 30-40 degree list and you can't even walk around or eat your meal because the boat is listing so bad to catch the wind and make it go somewhere and you have to play with the ropes to hold up the bedsheets and pillow cases, just right and if it is a bigger bedsheets flyer and has a deck below the same problem exists, you can't set your drink down on a table that is listing 30-40 degrees, if you do,, you won't have it after that. I have a small amount of experience on a larger than average bedsheet boat. Just before I graduated from URI, (UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND) A FRIEND OF MY FATHER, A THREE STAR ADMIRAL, invited my dad and I to cruise for a weekend, down the coast to Mass. and back home to Rhode Island on his 83'ft bed sheet boat and it took over 96 hours to do it along with alot of rope work and sheets going up and down to make the boat go to our destination. Anyway my dad and I, swore that we would never again step aboard any bedsheets/wind boat. They are too much work to just cruise around and if the wind whips up; the work intensivfies just to keep the boat from capsizing and the deck was always at a angle not flat ..my opinion is that bedsheet powered boat is best suited to leave it tied to the dock or moored in the small bay or inlet. They are to much work and don't allow you to enjoy being out on the water the way my family and I can with jetski's and other watercraft. I am 73 and am a retired U.S.NAVY CDR. and retired from another well known aeronautical engineering company as the dept head Mechanical Engineer. So I don't want to sound like I am telling you what to do, I do not wish to do anything even close to that. I just wanted to stand up for the engine powered boats and tell you that engines today, are not the same as the ones of the past. Newer engines today like the big diesels all have a afterburn exhaust so it is sent thru at least two processes to remove harmful gasses...... Gas engines have also undergone some great engineering to allow the engines to expell a much cleaner exhaust and also the outboards are shifting to four cycle so they are cleaner than two cycle that are on the deep six list. Two cycle engines are probably 10 times more polluting than the four cycle engines. The argument against engine powered boats and watercraft is not a valid one due to the technology used in the engines to abate the pollution caused by exhaust gasses and oils Also the diesels I have on my 70' ft HATTERAS are the best in the world ..The engines are MTU 16V 2000 M70 rated at 3004 HP each and they can deliver about 6 nautical miles per gallon. Driving 8 Blade high pitched props due to their massive torque rating, at any speed . Finally I as an owner of a 2018 70'ft Hatteras Motor Yacht, do everything I can to ensure that I do not pollute or allow anyone I take aboard the boat to pollute. I warn everyone before we leave the dock that they do not throw anything over the side into the water because they will go after it whatever it is.!!!!!! I provide waste cans at several places when we are anchored so no one has the excuse of no where to get rid of the wrapper/paper or whatever... We all need to be on guard against trash on the ocean. We frequently are picking up trash in coves and inlets up and down the coast of Florida and most of the time the trash we pull out of the water is fishing line and items related to the fishing population. Please do not pollute the ocean.. FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS TO ALL
