Hmmm memories this brings back nostalgic feelings . I spent a huge part of my life in Ajegunle before leaving Nigeria.If only you turned right before turning into Ezeagu street, I would have seen the house I was born and lived first few years of my life . I grew up in Ajegunle, Pry school CKS and Ajeromi Ifelodun High School (Sinclair). Thanks bro for making these videos , even tho I haven't been back to Nigeria in over 12 years, watching this just make me wanna walk thru those streets again .

I don't think this is chaos. But I'm from New York City with family from the Caribbean. I feel this is ultra-gritty in areas and I would just like to see more efficiency, maintenance and cleanliness. Also, I have to think there is a lot of pollution going on from the vehicles and there's a lot of horn-blowing noise pollution. There is a lot of good feeling I get watching this but also I know Nigeria can be so, so much better. This is an amazing tour, it's like I'm right there on the motorbike with you. Thank you.

Another incredible adventure of people, sights and sounds! I could ride with you all day only stopping to eat and use the restroom. Kudos once again to you for taking me deep into the non-touristy side of Lagos Nigeria. Once again I felt as though I could reach out and touch the people and experience what it's like to live there on the daily grind. It's makes me more appreciative and grateful to God Most High for my abundance and at the same time saddened for their lack. Or to be honest, maybe I am saddened because the citizens of Apapa Ajegunle seem to be more happy with the little they have than I am with the plenty I have. I noticed there were only a few people wearing face masks and there was no social distancing. I suppose it is not a big concern in Lagos Nigeria. You have my deepest appreciation for the risks you take to bring me in close to the country's heartbeat.

Bringing back some great memories!! I could remember how I will trekked from No. 80 Orodu, taking that sharp corner that connects Orodu, Orodu lane, Nosame and Bale street together down to Ojo road just to play video game or sometimes I will swerve and go to F T game house to play UMK3. @@Ludo_Liu Three things I like about your videos: 1. Your mode of filming via motorbike or boat depending on location. Which gives the viewer a more immersive feel. 2. You leave videos with the original recorded sounds. 3. You attempt to show the real areas of the cities, where everyday people go about their affairs. To many similar types of videos on RU-vid are focused on showcasing a very narrow spectrum of African cities. That boarders on either two extremes. The wealthy areas or areas of extreme poverty. Keep it up.

This is so amazing!!! Thanks for taking me to my childhood and where I grew up, the memories all come rushing back to me now. I left Ajegunle just after my secondary school ended. Boundary market was where my mom had her shop. I even hawked cold water in the market every day after school 😀 just somewhere behind Tolu junction is street where we lived called Asalu. This is all so emotional for me. Its been almost 33 years since I left this place and seems nothing has changed, well except for the road, its tiled now so that's good. But the trash everywhere noise from roadside medicine sellers..the traffic is something I don't think will change. I guess that's what makes this Apapa Ajegunle unique. I hope to go back there someday, especially would like to visit my secondary school..it's called Mokoya high school in Apapa area. Have some friends who probably still live in Ajegunle. I just dreaming, for now gonna watch it again with my kids and share this experience with them. Thanks for making my day

Firstly, thanks ever so much for this & for holding to your promise!!! 😁 Really nostalgic! Ajegunle seems less of a slum than some of the other places you've been, & with better roads (though still littered, congested, & some backstreets are still sadly terribly neglected). Malu Rd is disgraceful & worse than I recall it (& it was BAAAD then)! The parked tankers on the bridge heading to Apapa are Lagos's second biggest disgrace after Makoko floating slum...unbelievable! How a government can allow that is beyond me! Heard of it but crazy seeing it!!!😡🤬 Let me clarify a few things Ludo, because there are innacuracies on Google map. 1. There is Apapa where you have the port and the amusement park etc. 2. There is GRA Apapa where you have the Apapa Club and Corona School etc. These are NOT where you went, so using "Apapa" is inaccurate & misleading but not your fault👍🏾. 3. There is Olodi-Apapa which is where Bale 'Street' is, & leads both to Boundary Market or Kirikiri Rd depending on where you're headed. 4. Then there is Ajegunle, Ajeromi, & a little pocket area called 'Tolu'. Olodi-Apapa, Ajegunle, Ajeromi, and Tolu are not in Apapa & are all often bundled up into the pot of "Ajegunle". Olodi-Apapa is actually aptly named because from Bale St (heading towards Boundary) you can cross the canal to GRA Apapa (disembarking on Marine Road - "Waterside" better known as 'worasai-worasai'🤣) by a 2-3minute Canoe ride. How do I know this? I've proudly lived in Apapa, GRA Apapa, & the infamously famous Ajegunle (Olodi-Apapa - on Bale Street between Boundary & Kirikiri Rd). I searched desperately for our house at the time on Bale St but to no avail 😔...I think you did Bale Road instead.👍🏾 Thanks again, & looking forward to Apapa proper, if you can squeeze past the tanks🙄!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾

😁 😁 😁 Hey Ludo, you passed through my mum's house, and her shop😁. I was born and breed in ajegunle 😊 That was Oyedeji Street, off Ọjọ́ Road. Ajegunle My children were so excited.🥰 Unfortunately, I was ashamed answering their questions: no side walk, no traffic light, no stop sign, no zebra crossing, why is everyone hunking? There's litter everywhere and it's noisy, too many people on the street... These are the observations of a 4 and 6 years old. Quite sad☹️
@Ludo_Liu

I understand , i have the two same kids almost, 2 and 6.... their questions are just innocent and shows some of our failure has adults... For my daughters it is also difficult to understand why the streets are sometimes so dirty... I am glad to be able to bring you back a little in your hood, and glad it gave you the occasion to share these images with your family . I wish you a very good day my dear !

I just love your videos as it brings back so many memories. I’m quite sad to see so many people living in slums though - one can only imagine the illnesses the environment will cause - the overflowing gutters, rubbish, rot etc. is terrible. But as long as they keep on voting against their self interest these conditions will remain. Im sorry it’s hard to overlook these things although I am engrossed in this very interesting ultra high definition video (with surround speakers 😊)

Your videos are very cinematic. The placing of the camera on the front of your motorbike gives us a feeling that we are on the ride with you. Believe me, am terrified and holding onto my seat when you squeeze through the narrow streets avoiding people, buses, cars, trucks, you name it as everything is on the streets all the time. People have very little care as they are accustomed to this custom but for me looking on, it's terrifying. Excellent job. The infrastructure of Nigeria amazes me. Seems as if only the rich people can enjoy quality infrastructure, everyone else is a take it as you go. For a country with oil, I am not impressed with the overall infrastructure. Yes, there are some clean and beautiful places in Nigeria but who lives there? The Rich people. Anyway thanks for your videos. Well done. I really enjoy your videos This is the second one I have watched. Nigerians, and all other Africans, appear to be very hard working and industrious. Too many of them have to strive on their own against all kinds of obstacles to make it through the day. I am not an economist but I hope that the leaders can find some way to harness that talent. Government cannot fix all the issues but the right policies can go a long way to get the citizenry involved in the betterment of their lives and the development of their country. I am in the USA where capitalism rules although with problems. The ingenuity of immigrants here is what keeps this place going. I am not espousing any political system - just anything for the betterment of mankind. I have faith in Africa( its countries)and I know that they will get there.
