So how are you liking your 1412 now that it’s almost two years later? I am looking to buy the 1412 (my first bandsaw). However, I am also considering the 14bx, but it’s almost $330 more (25% price increase) for almost the same features as the 1412. Have you ever been in a situation with your band saw that you wished you had the foot brake? The on/off switch seems to be so well placed on the 1412 that it would be easy to hit. I know the brake stops the blade immediately but I guess in my ignorance I do not know when that would be necessary/safest way to go. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
