What amp breaker are you using with this bandsaw? I have a 20 amp in my garage and am a little worried it may not be able to handle the 1.75hp motor. Thanks for the video!
Congrats on your purchase! You will love it! I had purchased the resaw king 3/4" carbide tipped with the saw but it broke a couple weeks after I used it in this video and I never replaced it! It was a $150 blade!! I use the Starrett Duratec SFB Bandsaw Blade - 115" x 3/4" x .032" - 4 TPI - Hook now for resawing and it works well.
Thanks for your review. I purchased the same machine not quite a year ago. It is a great machine! What are your thoughts on the ceramic blade guides, any wear?
I am not the best at reviewing tools but, I will always be honest. The ceramic guides are ok. I thought the saw had a lot more blade noise than it should and attributed it to those guides. The sparks took some getting used to but they still work fine. Its not a daily user.
I am in the exact same decision making arena that you were: Rikon vs Languna 1412. The 1412 is at the top of my list at the moment - thank you for this information!
Thanks for your review. I went from a 35 year old Delta and just bought the Laguna 14/12 band saw 2 weeks ago and so far, it's been great. Enjoyed your review of this and agree that bottom storage would be nice though. I also noticed your dust collection on your miter saw and was wondering how you like it, and does it work well? I have a 12" sliding compound one and want to make something like yours that I think might work hooked into my wall mounted dust collector for the band saw.
Hey Gary! Glad you liked the review! Love my #Laguna tools for sure! I no longer have the miter saw "Hood" because I upgraded to a Sliding Miter saw. When I did have it, it was not very good.
@@BuckysCustoms Thanks for your answer on the miter saw hood. I guess the best way to use my saw and to keep the dust down is to use it outside. lol Have a great day.
