You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ru-vid.comUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

Dude, thank you so much for this video! I'm in the process of upgrading from a contractor saw to a cabinet saw, and I've been considering the 3 or 4 brands that everyone does, and I was leaning towards the Laguna F2. After watching your video (and reading some reviews about their customer service), I have absolutely removed Laguna from my list, and I REALLY appreciate your calm, fair review of your real world experience.

I ended up replacing the factory plastic type belt with a standard rubber belt and it's a different saw, works great!

@@hutchabodefarms126 I’m very big on customer service. If I can’t get support on a major purchase product then I don’t need it. I’d rather spend $6k on a ICS with good customer service support.

​@hutchabodefarms126 great, really??? I had no choice but to do the same. 13.5 7 groove. Who does a groove belt on a 3hp motor? Terrible design. And because of the terrible design, they protect themselves with a polyurethane belt that you have to replace My belt melted on the pulls. I had to use a pick to slowly scrape all of the polyurethane off the pulleys. Not a good situation when you run a woodworking business

Thanks for this video! I was going to purchase this saw once I returned home from visiting my son and daughter - in - law. My choice was based on a video by "Shop Nation". Now I am back to square one and will be looking at the Harvey. You saved my bacon on this one! Thanks!

I’m sitting in my hobby workshop,here in the UK. I’m waiting on a replacement capacitor for my new table saw. Can’t really do much without this machine,in fairness the suppliers are doing their best,I’ve spoken with their tech people,they’re good,genuine blokes. I’m being patient.

I came REAL close to buying a Laguna F2 because it was in stock and almost fully assembled. After seeing this video I took Laguna off my list. Let's hope Laguna watches these videos so they can up their game. I'm going with a Harvey cabinet saw.

I've owned an ran a laguna fusion f2 since 2019. Its been used vigorously and I've had to do zero maintenance so far. "Knock on wood." Is a solid saw. Idk about customer service because I've had zero issues.

Thank you for the honest table review. I also had the f2 on my radar, even with a 20% off coupon from rockler I’m not going to get it. It’s really rare these days for someone to share on how a purchase went wrong.

What a timely video! I'm currently in the market for a new saw and was looking at this Laguna model, a SawStop, or a Harvey Alpha. I can't believe your saw died on you so quickly after getting it, and how poorly the Laguna reps are dragging their a$$es on this. Guess I know which one I won't be getting... Hope you get good news soon!

I actually found the Harvey saw as I was waiting on the Laguna and was very close to canceling my order and getting it. It looks similar to a Grizzly saw to me. I won't be purchasing another Laguna tool I don't think. Appreciate you watching.

Harvey all the way. The build quality on the Alpha's is great and their miter gauge is fantastic. Really is the best in it's class in my opinion.

I have a Laguna fusion 3 for 6 months, 20'' planer 1 year and 8'' jointer for 24 months. Unfortunately, I can't comment on customer service since I have not had any issues with my tools. I really love the way my fusion delivers. They have a Sawstop where I work in the day time and I thought of getting one but ended up with Laguna since I did not think the price difference was worth it. Sorry you're having so much problems getting your parts but you will appreciate it afterwards.

Wow, I have been doing my research for my new table saw and Laguna was my pick since I already have Laguna Lathe and Laguna Bandsaw but this is making me rethink Sawstop over Laguna.. Thanks for the video

I was about to buy a Laguna F3 but after watching this i have changed my mind i am in the UK and if you have problems with getting parts in the USA it will probably be even worse in the UK.

I have just had my first issue with my Laguna saw. I have yet to take it apart, but sounds like a similar failure. In actual use hours, I have very little shop time on this saw, so this worries me to the overall quality. I will see if I have the same experience, as you mentioned that seems to be a draw back for Laguna. I have a Grizzly band saw and found the customer service to be excellent. I think Grizzly is my nest table saw. Thank you for the video.

I also own a Fusion 3 and I will agree with you on the customer service aspect. Mine was delivered with a couple small issues, there was a small chunk out of the melamine top for the wing extension (I have the 52" version) and the fence tape measure is out so much that I can't adjust it properly, I have it set to exactly 1 inch out to at least be able to use it for now. Took a few days to get customer service on the phone but the guy I spoke with was great, said he'd send out the new parts right away and then... nothing. Parts were supposedly shipped out in June. It's September and if they shipped them, I have no idea where they got sent because I never received them. Granted, my issue isn't nearly as bad as a failed motor mount but you'd think even the easy things they'd try and get sorted out.

Dang! I had just about decided to upgrade my 1953 Craftsman King Sealy to a Laguna Fusion 2 but after watching your video I’m changing the plan here. Thanks for posting and sorry for your trouble. I hope you get this issue resolved soon.

I bought the Laguna fusion 1 , the issue was the wing holes did not match the holes on the cast iron table. So I called customer service and they were horrible, the tech guy who I spoke with told me to drill a new hole. So I said no , I'm not fixing your mistake. You have bad quality control you should have checked it before shipping it out. I don't care if they are backed up in orders . Ide rather have them do what they advertise on RU-vid, a good product. Rushing orders never come out good. So I returned it. Mind you, the day i got it was happy , unboxed it, and I noticed the problem , put it back in the box and got rid of it. Took it back to the dealer I bought it from. The certified dealer gave me better customer service then Lagunas BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.They took back the table saw, didn't give me problems and gave me my money back. Thank you dealer.

Years ago I was in the market for an 18" bandsaw to resaw with. My research about attributes led me to a Laguna saw. Further investigation, much like I'm doing today, I ran into a bunch of crappy customer service reports. I ended up buying elsewhere, and have enjoyed that bandsaw immensely. Now I am looking to upgrade my TS, and was looking really closely at Laguna F3. Once again I'll buy elsewhere after seeing your review, and others stating the customer service isn't any better, actually it sounds like it's gotten worse. Thanks for your review.

Hey, so pleased to see this video, I have the exact same saw with the exact same problem. It is really really frustrating! and I know the feeling of only having your track saw to get work done, absolute nightmare, I think I am going to be buying a Felder panel saw of some sort, their customer service seems to be really really good.

Excuses are just exactly that excuses I appreciate your honesty and understand your disappointment having a back up saw is never a bad thing but being a small business have money sitting doing nothing is hard I’m sure there service department could have taken the required parts off another saw

I appreciate the video. Been waiting for 5 months for stock to arrive in Australia. Still, no word on stock and to add to my frustrations we have had a 10% price jump. Now I see your video and I am definitely looking at other brands. Sadly we are very short on quality affordable saw options down here, but Laguna just fell off the list.

Thankyou for the video, I do have a Fusion3 in my shop based here in Northern Ireland Uk for maybe a year and so far no problems, it's a good saw, flat and cuts straight, I would have loved a soft start, but apart from that so far so good, I hope you do get sorted out and up and running again buddy, kind regards Louie

Wow, what a mess. Current customer issues NEED to be addressed ASAP!!! I was thinking laguna was decent, now second guessing my thought process! TSGA. I am currently replacing my shop equipment due to COVID, crushing income last year. Sold off stuff to make ends meet now finally rebuilding and it feels good!!!

Sorry to hear about your saw and the horrible customer service you are receiving. As you said, stuff goes wrong and things break and I don’t care what company we are talking about, it just happens. The true measure of a great company is how they respond when these things happen. Laguna definitely falls short. Needless to say, I won’t be looking at them any more. Wow man! I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. I have a Laguna Bandsaw that I love and was literally just going to purchase the Fusion F3 before I watched this video. I need to avoid Laguna, clearly. I went to purchase one last week at a local woodworking store and the sales rep talked me out of it. Doing my homework today to try to debunk their criticism and it appears they gave me proper warning. I’m sorry for the hassle and set back it caused you but thank you for sharing so others don’t have the same results. Hope you find the right saw for you!

The supply chain did have them backed up. I ordered my Fusion F2 in May and finally got it last week. I couldn't be happier with it. Stay away from Grizzly.

Thank you for your review. I’m in the process of looking at upgrade options from my DeWalt job site saw and am very close to getting a 3hp Saw Stop. Laguna was the next option and your review tipped the scale to stay away from Laguna. It’s a shame but customer service is important and having a saw down for as long as yours has been is simply unacceptable. Hope your saw has been sorted out since this video.

Also, check out the Harvey saw. Looks similar and I see good reviews. I don't see the SawStop as an answer here unless you want to pay over the odds.

This is why I’m going SawStop. I had planned on getting a Laguna Bandsaw, although this definitely makes me rethink that… I’ve been hearing good things Harvey Bandsaws, and that TiN coating they offer on their bandsaw table is looking pretty good right about now. Thanks for the video, you’ve just saved me from potentially dealing with the same people, same issues just on a different tool

Im in kc about the same distance you are from grizzly I own a 1023z first year it was made 3hp its never been used it is over 22 years old. I got a 120 volt 2hp jet in 2017 its a proshop II hybrid the saw works fine. Got it free. My son won it and gave it to me. I also have a porter cable fold down saw also 2.hp i use it the most its in the garage i can't set up the garage as a workshop, my wife thinks thats where you park cars??? If i was in the market for a good table saw id buy the sawstop. HARVEY is also Bridge city tools. Or aside from a sawstop id look into buying 5 in one Felder Or one of its off brands like Hammer. Yes they cost a lot But its a full workshop in one machine, and they have safety shut off like saw stop. They also hold resale value. You should look into it its more machine then the sawstop.

I too am considering upgrading to a cabinet saw. I’ve only been able to see the Lagunas in videos, my local Rockler doesn’t stock them. I’ve looked into the SawStops quite a bit and I’m impressed by the quality and heavy duty nature of their builds - not to mention the safety. Hearing your issue with the motor mount is disturbing - it’s so fundamental. Sure SawStops are way more expensive, but I’m coming to think they are a way better bang for the buck.

We don’t have many local stores that stock cabinet saws here in Delaware but I went to woodcraft yesterday to buy the Laguna Fusion and the sales rep talked me out of it. I just can’t do the Sawstop. Thinking Grizzly is in my range right now. Hope you find the right sad for you! Glad I read this article and verified the rumors of horror stories.

I am sorry that you had to go through this nightmare. So frustrating! Being able to see it from the future and knowing how it all turns out makes it easy to say, "all is well that ends well " but while usually are living through it...not fun. #TSGA

I have the f3 36" as well. No problems for me. Looking to add router extension same set up as you. so you bought the router extension wing plus small extension wing as well? How did it all bolt up lots of modifications? did the router dust box bolt to the bottom of wing or did you have to make a plate? Thanks

I purchased the sawstop router table, the sawstop cast iron router table extension piece. I had to drill holes to attach the extension piece to the F3. Purchase the sawstop dust box and it will bolt right up. Thanks for watching.

I was just about to put a order in for a Laguna F2 for my garage to replace my hobby Ryobi table saw, but after seeing what you have gone through, I am definitely not ordering it now...

That's f up . i bought a grizzly 3 HP table saw when they were cheap . i think i paid $ 1500 or so . it was incredible for that price . i also bought an 8 inch planer which arrived with a small crack in the cast iron base . not super serious . i e mailed a photo of the crack and they replied immediately and said they would replace it . i had to drive the saw to a shipping dock about thirty miles away and send the old one back .they paid for the shipping . very acceptable tools for reasonable prices and super customer service . It's a pity you are caught up in such a mess . good luck !

You know most (if not all) other customers who experience customer service issues with Laguna will not get the same response you documented in your "Redemption" video. I appreciate the COO's desire to "make it right," but you had to post a video on RU-vid to get the service you paid for in the first place. I would not have posted this here...but "comments" are disabled on the "Redemption" video.

Like many others, I was contemplating the F2, Sawstop 1.75 PCS, or Harvey Alpha... I ended up choosing the SawStop after watching enough reviews about Laguna and Harvey saws that simple had more negatives combined than the SawStop reviews did. I definitely paid more upfront, but I wanted a one and done saw. If I do outgrow the 1.75, I can get my power upgraded to 220 and just swap in the 3HP motor. It was just a little too costly to get the 220 upgrade and a SawStop 3HP, and from the reviews it sounds like that for the vast majority of people, 1.75hp is not going to leave you wanting.

I bought a 10' x 5' CNC router from these guys which turned up with shipping damage. Parts fulfillment in TX took months to send correct parts and I'm still waiting for 1 part. Not sure I'd buy anything Laguna again to be honest!

I was debating between Laguna and Sawshop. After hearing all the bad comments about Laguna I think I will stick to Sawshop. I might have to pay a little more but good customer service is important.

Hi. I ended up here looking for some more infos about this saw. Since now I've heard only good things about the laguna fusion 3 but I'm starting doubting ! I'm from france and I found only a seller from czech republic so if there 's any problem it might be a pain in the ass... Your setup looks really nice to use. I was thinking that the saw was lacking a cross cut system for panels and longer pieces of wood (the mini cross cut system really looks like a toy...).I see you found a way to add one. What is it from ? Same brand? How did you install it ? I'd be happy to know. Have a nice day !

Cant comment on Laguna or grizzly but have a similar business to yours. Bought a saw stop in 2016. The thing has taken a pounding and just keeps purring 8hrs + a day. I am not really brand loyal and use everything from Ryobi to festool. That said Saw stop saws and support is just the best! Great saws great company. and yes i paid full retail.

That is so unfortunate about your saw. I too, did a lot of research and drank the cool aid (got the SawStop). Have you looked at Harvey Alpha Series? That is a great saw too.

I made the mistake of buying an F3. I've had it for almost 2 months and have never been able to use it. It was defective out the crate and customer service wants me to fix it myself because "warranty". It's nice that they sent me the parts, but why am I responsible for fixing a brand new never used saw?

I'm sorry to hear that, theyre customer service is the worst. I was planning on outfitting my entire shop with Laguna tools but I will never purchase a tool from Laguna again. I've sold all of my Laguna tools because of this.

Resale on the SawStop i would imagine is also way better/tight to the retail price for the fit&finish, reputation, etc.

Man, I feel so bumbed. I was about to pull the trigger on an F2 or F3 seeing there was no reason for me to actually go towards the Sawstop. My fingers just aren't ever near the blade and I'm smart enough to never wear gloves or loose anything, around a table saw. But customer service...that is HUGE when you rely on it for cash flow! Sorry about your experience man.

Thanks for the video, i juat bought a fusion 3 and so far works fine, no issues. But if you don't mind, could you tell me what type of slinding table did you mount on yours? I'm looking for a sliding table to fit on my saw , but there is not much info for this around, and yours look awsome!

I installed the Sawstop slider on it. You have to drill the holes in the table saw cast iron but overall a pretty good job.

so sad, I have 2 laguna tools now and was considering the f3 next to finish up my shop. Now I am very hesitant. Really sorry about your bad luck. All the nice stuff is so hard to get in Canada, Alberta, The wrong choice will cost me 800 extra for shipping.

I was making enquiries about the fusion 2 & 3, really looking for a reliable machine, as my existing one is over 30 years old and thought I'd treat myself. But thanks for the balanced review, but will remove Laguna from my list.

I’ve looked into the Delta - the motors burn out. Laguna - broken motor mounts and awful customer service. Grizzly - too many plastic parts and also sloppy fences. Looks like I’m going to dig deeper into my pocket and get the SawStop. Yes, it’s a fortune. But I’ll have a saw that works!

Is that additional extension wing between the table and router table cast iron? What did you use there?

It's a sawstop cast iron extension that they use for their 36" pcs table saw router extension.

I have a Laguna dust collector and had to call customer service on day 1 because it didn't work...I agree, the CS is horrid. I will never buy another Laguna product again.

Should look into the Harvey brand. So much better customer service, power house of a table saw, many features and better pricing than saw stop.

Yeah I looked into the Harvey during my saw search, looks to be a nice saw. They took quite a few features from the Laguna saw. Overall I was a little hesitant to go with a company that’s so new even if they’ve been making tools for years and some poor reviews on other simpler equipment scared me off. I have an old right tilt Grizzly 3hp cabinet saw. The arbor bearings wore out and wore the shaft. I called Grizzly with the model number. Talked to someone. Had a new shaft & bearings in about a week for around $100. That made me feel so good about the old saw I bought it a set of link belts, a Forrest blade and an Incra knock off miter gauge from banggood! It’s better than new! So Grizzly services their old customers too.

#TSGA it would be huge to have a table saw like that. I currently work at a small woodworking shop that most does farm furniture. I have definitely outgrown it and would really like to start my own business, but I’m poor and tools and nice tables saws are expensive haha

Im in the same boat my self... customer service is horrendous. Great saw when it was working. Rep told me they have very limited supply and are only worried about fulfilling new orders. They dont know when they will be able to fufill my part request. The rep told me i was pretty much better off buying a whole new saw. SO now im looking at getting another table saw. im thinking of just taking the plung and getting a Sawstop at least i know they have better saw and service. Its a damn shame too cause i invested heavily into laguna tools and this is how they treat there loyal clients. I will be looking to sell my other tools that i have. so if anyone is in IN area and want laguna tools hit me up. will sell mine.

It's just a motor with a standard mount. Find a motor shop in your area & get it fixed or get a spare. The warrenty should cover some of the cost. The motor was not made by Laguna. You could have been up & running in less than a week. You're a business, you don't have time to wait.

Is it advertized as American made? If their parts come from China don't be surprized of some difficulties in getting service on them.

I've been looking at saws for a couple of months. Look closely, you we see that most saws are made in the same factory in Taiwan - only minor cosmetic changes.

Still no word, can't even get a call or email back. I will be selling all of my laguna tools and will not be doing business with them again. The used grizzly 3hp saw i picked up in the interim is a much stronger more owerful saw.

#TSGA great video. I had been doing research on Laguna and Sawstop to upgrade from my craftsman 113. Grizzly is a very well known brand and would be an amazing upgrade.
