Laika and the Cosmonauts - "Fadeaway" 

I love Mikko Lankinen style and sound! And of course , The Laika And The Cosmonauts!

One of the greatest "surf" bands of all time.

IMHO, The best of all of the revival bands. Lucky to have supported them as an Insect Surfer in 92(?) when we did SXSW together and points beyond. This song has special meaning for me. Sorry to see these guys fade...

overtime these guys have become very influential. he is a guitar virtuoso. very well known outside the US.

Just found this today....just awesome. These guys are really great...too bad that they are no longer playing together !

Glad I made the effort to attend this show...these guys are one of my favorite bands...I was also fortunate to share the stage with them years ago...at Linda's Doll Hut in Anaheim, CA.

What a great high quality video! Glad I finally got to see them Fall '08 on a great double bill with Los Straitjackets. Sadly it was their farewell tour ...hoping they change their minds about retirement.....

@KalaPalaPussi - Hadn't heard the legal issues story...The way I understand it was that Tarantino decided to go with older, 'original' surf music, rather than a new, relatively unknown act. Would have been huge for the Cosmonauts to get on that soundtrack though, and maybe Upstart Records would have lasted a bit longer if they had!

There was supposed to be Laika and the Cosmonauts on soundtrack of Pulp Fiction, but there was some law-issues...
