Our first stop in Western Australia is the largest man made lake in the Southern Hemisphere, Lake Argyle. 67km long and 10km wide, it’s huge. Hard to get your head around how much water is here and it filled in 2 years. ( they thought it would take 6) - 18 times more capacity than Sydney Harbour.
(Still no idea what that actually means to anyone 😜)
We did a lunch cruise that was a great way to explore a tiny fraction of this massive lake.
Also got to swim and have a beer in the lake. They estimate there are 25,000 freshwater crocs in the lake 😱.
