Right now the weather is warm (about 60 F) but usually it is in the upper 40's or 50's this time of year. Unfortunately most of this hike will still be covered in snow in April, and there will be no leaves on the trees. Realistically you'd have to wait until late May or early June to do this hike, unless you were wanting to use snowshoes.

I went during Summer time. It is fun but if you are not used to hiking be prepared for spending more than the usual estimated time. Most uphill track.

Thanks for the comment! As far as I'm aware, the only restriction on flying over wilderness areas is if it is a National Park. As for National Forest Areas, such as this area shown in the video, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) are permitted to fly. But, with all due respect, it's a Wilderness Area and that makes the difference. A congressionally designated "Wilderness Area" is not the same as a "wilderness area." The Drone U video you linked only talks about National Forest, not Wilderness Areas. If something has changed, I'd love to hear it, but my call two weeks ago to the Wasatch Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest confirmed the foregoing.
