Lake Bled to Postonja S4 E2 

After an afternoon and evening in beautiful Lake Bled we ride toward the Julian Alps and climb to 1600m through 23 of the 50 hairpin bends of the Serpentine Vrsic Pass (also known as Russian Road because it was constructed by Russian PoWs). Along the way the views of the snow capped alps are spectacular. From 1600m the remaining 27 hairpin bends take us down to the beautiful Soca River Valley, where the river is our companion for much of the rest of our journey. Our destination is Postonja, home to the largest cave system in Slovenia and one of the largest in the world. We hope you enjoy the trip almost as much as we did.
