Mostar to Jajce S4 E11 

It’s overcast and raining lightly this morning - so we delay our departure a little in the hope it will pass. It doesn’t. Returning along the Neretva River is a completely different visual experience, the sun breaks through the overcast sky and picks out the mountain tops, mist rolls down the hills and settles on the glass-like emerald green river. The scenery is magnificent. We stop for coffee at Jablanica opposite a museum commemorating the win that Tito’s partizans had over the Germans and Italians in the battle of Neretva (there is even a movie about it). Another stop is required to allow a thunderstorm to pass. Lunch in Travnik once the seat of the Ottoman governors. Excellent Cevapi at a table beside the Plave Voda before a pleasant (and drier) ride to Jajce. The Hotel Plivsko Jezero looks quite nice on arrival, a relatively modern two storey building elevated a few metres above the lake with covered parking! But the room is a different story. In any event we decide it’s not the place to spend two nights, and make plans to leave for Zagreb the following morning. #travnik #jajce #plivskojezero #motorcycleadventure
