Wow that is seriously a lot of rain and that water flow is crazy. It would have been a nice thought it was like chocolate milk and willy wonka would pop up any time. We have been having more rain then usual up in the PNW starting to worry about our water levels and landslides. Yes you showed if the water levels go up again its always crazy to compare. I use to live in Ojai and would kayak in the lake during the winter, summer time you'd get run over by a speedboat. When I moved I think it was 2004 . The lake was very low, the island stuck out like a sore thumb. I live in Sacramento now, but miss Ojai and Ojai living.
Thanks for the tour!! I’ve seen it where the island is completely covered, and the water is a good half way up that boat launch and that lower dirt area beyond the concrete launch is covered too. Stoked we hit 80% though!
Now that it’s full it looks gorgeous and I haven’t seen it look like that since the 90s. The lake was blessed with a whole bunch of rain the last two seasons.
