During Great Loop cruise with AGLCA Foote Loose takes time for a nice relaxing cruise along the shores of Lake Chickamauga Tennessee. Put to music! Awesome #LakeChickamauga #tennessee #relaxing #aglca
Hello again, I have followed 6 to 7 boaters during the loop, but u are the only one with a cdory and I like to know or see videos of how the boat handles in a storm or going through the dam, I like to know was the water not deep enough in some areas. Prices and pictures of the marinas. Which marina is woman friendly, like a showers, food, laundry, a room.
I have a 22 foot C-Dory cruiser. Let's play the big or one person. Does not have a bathroom or shower I use the porta potty. If you don't have a boat yet, think about what you reallneedto be comfortable for a year long trip. The bigger the boat the bigger expenses. Also Marinas have limited spaces for 30 ft + boats. Larger boats need deeper water. Mine only needs 18 inches. I had no trouble she was low bridges. Foote Loose is only 7 ft 8 inches above water line - that includes the stuff on top. If you're planning to do the "loop" I recommend you join American Great Loop Cruisers Association (AGLCA) www.greatloop.org Most marinas have bath and shower facilities. There are really nice one and ones I wouldn't put my worst enemy in. The AGLCA has a forum that is packed with information My 22 doesn't like wind over 10 MPH. I have had her in one storm with 7+ ft waves. It was no fun. It took all my 10+ years of experience piloting Foote Loose to get to Port safely. The advantage with the loop course is its mostly rivers. We (AGLCA) figure to have at least 15 "No go" days. When the weather is to bad to boat. I began my adventure with 2 "no go" days. Search my youtube I believe I have a video of locking through. The trick with locking through is to be at the very front or very back. There is less current when the lock is filled. Feel free to PM me.
