When I was 7 years old, I discovered this show for the first time at my grandma's after she had fallen asleep. It really creeped me out. Loved it ever since.

Yeah, it's been more like 16 years now. This series officially began in 2005 after A Haunting in Connecticut and A Haunting in Georgia aired in 2002

When I was around the age 8 to 9 I would go across the street to my grandma’s house and we would watch the show almost every other day. My granny got me into ghost stories, the supernatural and mystery while my papaw got me into cheesy horror movies, creature features and so on. I thank my papaw and granny for leading me on the path.

I love these types of videos. Used to watch on TV but we don’t have cable anymore. Can only watch during day time then left light on in the bedroom for weeks until the story is faded in my head.

I live in Springfield , Illinois and have all my life .. and [personally know all the people who was in this episode and can say without doubt that they are telling the truth .. The Lake Club burned down many years ago but it was a creepy place .. After it stopped being a nightclub they turned it into the Sober Duck Disco .. Pretty much a dance club for kids .. I used to go there and a few of us would help clean up .. I've personally seen hand driers in the bathroom turn on by themselves .. heard "demonic voices" and seen a partial body apparition .. There was 4 of us who was there at the time that witnessed this so I know it wasn't just me seeing things .. It was a 100% real authentic haunted place !! Also , the real Lake Club wasn't nearly as big as the building they are using for the recreation .. ..I honestly don't think this was even filmed in Springfield

My uncle committed suicide in a barn on the family farm in North Dakota in March, 1993, by sticking a 4:10 shotgun in his mouth. I find this very interesting.

So sad and scary how he comitted suicide right there in the office of the club. I can't imagine the pain and depression he suffered from that caused him to think that that was the best way to go. I wish he would of been able to think of better ways to solve his problems instead of taking his life.

Me too ! You should check out paranormal nightmare it's three brothers and they had a bad experience at childhood with ghosts and they really have some very touching cases. The stories from the people that make me cry are the ones about missing peopIe or murdered. Check them out tho. They used to be called chasing evil I believe.

My ex was in a band that played at The Lake Club from 1982 to 1985 (Cats on Holiday). Myself and another guy would set up the equipment before the gig so we were in the building almost alone. Things did move (like glasses). Not gonna lie it was freaky. It wasn't in a building downtown. It was in a building on Fox Road. The right side of the building was the nightclub and the left side was what they called the office. That's where Rudy shot himself. It was so busy when Cats would play but the building was run down. We had to put buckets on the stage when it rained. There was a mirrored gambling room in a secret door in the band backstage area. They shut the place down sometime after 1985 and it eventually burned to the ground (probably arson).

Even though the rest of the paranormal shows on the travel channel and Discovery + are also real there is still no other true paranormal show like A Haunting not only did the narrator Anthony Call scare us but this was one of the few shows were you could actually feel the dark energy and the demons and poltergeist really scare you through the screen this show litterly brought the Occult right to us which is why A Haunting is my most favorite tv show ever

Wonderful episode! I appreciate the fact that one of the priests was clairvoyant and could sense the cold spots and Rudy's presence. I literally thought the club was going to explode, but happily it didn't. It just shows that not all ghosts are demonic; sometimes they're just people who are stuck between the physical and spirit worlds and need help getting to where they're supposed to be. :)

If your buying or renting you really need to check the recent history and the past as much as you can. Ask neighbors, why it's vacant, talk to somebody who knows the place at the least, because restate brokers could care less, green is all they career about.

A Haunting was by far the best TV show ever especially the first 4 seasons it is still going on they just mellowed it down a little which is a bummer but the first 4 seasons were the absolute Best not only were we scared of Anthony Call’s narration because his voice fit perfectly for the show, but also the fact this was one of the very few true paranormal TV shows that you could actually feel the energy from and get frightened by the demons and other spirits that were either haunting a place or someone who messed with the supernatural realm without thinking as well as this TV show brought the Occult right to us with the energy and how to teach us how to use it by far the best paranormal to show ever

The lake club wasn't downtown, it was on fox bridge road and Stanford, was demolished long ago, replaced by an extension to Stanford

Very cool. This was my favorite show when it first aired. I was working 2nd shift at the time, so I'd watch the show around 1am... The perfect time. I've noticed that new episodes have popped up in my DVR, so I'm glad to see the show is still going strong.

Dark empty restaurants are always scary or very least odd and unsettling because they are usually so filled with people and energy then all of a sudden it’s this cavernous dark void. I worked at a big steakhouse that had these private boardrooms upstairs that held 150 people with a big wooden bar with high wooden ceilings and we stored booze up there and I would have to go up there sometimes when it was empty to grab booze or random shit and every time I felt creeped out like I was gonna walk in on people from the shining ballroom dancing and pegging each other or whatever people in old timey days did.

I had a feeling it was going to be someone’s last Christmas. I bought my mom a leg lamp from the Christmas story just in case. I don’t normally think like that, but my daughter’s sweet mema passed away. I didn’t think she’d pass from surgery until I got the call. I still was her family and I lost someone that I loved so much. She signed a Mother’s Day card said I love you months in advance. If anyone even reads this don’t ignore feelings like that cause spiritually or not that energy is still there. I kind of believe some of it.
