Nice filming again !! Maybe consider reversing the route...starting in Patterdale go to the farm and then clockwise around the Lake...then up and over Bedale Fell ...its downhill all the way then through Boredal Hause and down the rocky track back to the farm...great riding ...I think you'd enjoy it ?!!
Nice video, like you cover some of it looked great, other parts the views covered the pedally bits. Wjere you took the thumbnail was stunning! As if you almost went OTB on a climb, that dam wheel spin 🤣 great video as always mate 👍🏼
Nice vid mate and thanks for the mention 😀 I came to a similar conclusion, though I have ridden it twice now - with a 10 year gap between, which feels about right 😂 Beda Fell though, quality.
Thanks mate. It’s a great track. I really enjoyed it. But a lot of effort for not much reward. Absolutely loved beda fell and the climb up to beda. Outstanding views
Looked a tough ride that, bouncy n bumpy both up and down 😱 sometimes those kinda rides destroy you more than a long steep climb, BUT, what stunning views 😎🌞
Great video mate, some fun looking sections, great views (nice bike shot) i don't fancy all that techy climbing for little reward though, i bet it's better on an ebike? enjoyed the video 👍
Nice mate. You should have popped into our Outdoor Centre for a coffee at Howtown. I ride that area a lot after work. The bridleway you pushed up is horrifyingly fast as a decent & reversing Beda Fell is good. Have a crack at Place fell next time your up as the descent off that is pretty epic.
Hi Steve. Yeah that 1st climb I did is a great fast descent . Only did it the once but loved it. Beda I imagine would be a really nice climb. Place fell is on the list. Got a ride planned that passes angle tarn. I’m going to go up it then.
@@TrailFinder Sounds good, the descent from Angle Tarn to Boredale Hause is a cracking one & following up to Place Fell will make a great day. Have a good one & look forward to the video.
I'm gonna be staying at Pooley bridge next week. Any other recomendations in that area if this isn't that fantastic? many thanks for the video content.
@@Josh240694 unfortunately not mate. Ibis Warranty is for manufacturing defects only. But I did get the part at cost. I got the part at cost because I was honest about how it happened. So happy with the outcome.
@@TrailFinder yeah makes sense, was it cheaper to get the whole swingarm instead of a repair, CarbonBikeRepair do an amazing job and even do a paint match, had my Scott done the paint looked like a factory finish after a downtube repair.
@@Josh240694 it was around the same price. Slightly cheaper for the repair. But the repair was a 6 week lead time. I get the new part shortly. And it’s just been 2 weeks. Can’t wait to get it back now!
Lovely video mate, really liked the 3rd person shot (I know what a pain they are to get, especially in open countryside - big walk back up to retrieve the camera). It's a long time since I did this loop but I remember coming to the same conclusion that you did; Beda Fell is great, Ullswater singletrack is good but you put a lot of effort in for a series of short fun sections.
Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed it. 3rd person shots are a little easier for me with having a 360 camera. I just plonk it down then set up the shot in edit. Really enjoyed this loop. But like you said. The effort for the reward wasn’t really worth it. Think I’d really enjoy walking it. But don’t think I’d ride it again
I went to do this loop after coming off Helvellyn, only to discover increasingly insistent signs on gates saying it is not for bikes & "conflict will be caused" I decided to do the right thing & just turn back to my car parked along banks of Ullswater. Doh!! Not sure hoe else you can get to this classic single track, other than up & over from High St descent
