Ken Rawlinson Always love your vids Just a ? What line is on the intro,,, just had the same sound in 20lb big game and broke off. Love and live for the bite ! Let me know
Corey Hill no sir, I would pick colors based on water color and the days conditions but I would use same gear and present the bait the same way. Maybe go to a lighter line if there is not a ton of cover like we have here.
Kevin Lewis my apologies for not mentioning this in the vid but, I use a gamakatsu finesse wide gap weedless hook in the 1/0 or 2/0 size. It has a weed guard built in that is really effective.
Kevin Lewis I realize my comment is a year old but I wanted to add my two cents on your question. 18 years ago I hired a guide on Lake Fork and he taught me to fish the Wacky Rig with the hook embedded in line with the worm as opposed to the hook being at a right angle to the worm and hooked in the mid portion of the worm. This hook was honest to goodness a small catfish hook. I’m not kidding, and it worked very well and it did not have a weed guard on it. It was an open hook and back then there was plenty of grass in the lake. We fished heavy hydrilla with no problems. When you feel the grass on the hook I was taught to simply shake the worm and the grass would let it go. It worked great without any hangups and was simple to fish The guide was John Tanner a well known popular and respected guide and as far as I know he still is. I’m sure John Tanner has probably changed hooks to wacky style hook now but that stupid catfish hook worked very well.
Trent Keeler thanks man I appreciate that! Tell your friends spread the word, I'm going to keep em coming and we are going to have some cool guest videos soon too
