Great video man! Quick question though, are you running straight monofilament or are you using mono with a fluorocarbon leader? I want to try this for fall and spring trout/salmon in Lake George but I am unsure of what gear to use.
So funny that you are right off the ramp site. My family has been coming up to the Trout House since the 70's. It has only been since 2016 since I've been back, last time there was 1976 right before I went in the Army. It seems we come up at the "wrong time" in August, although there is no wrong time to go to the lake. It is the wrong time from what I'm told by locals for fishing for lakers unless you are prepared to go real deep. Which is probably why I haven't caught anything the last 5 trips. Looks like I'll have to arrange an early spring run up there. Nice catches. They have to be tasty.
@@adirondackfishjunkies I appreciate the offer. I will be making the 1000+ mile trip up there in August, so this year is out. I drive up from NC. Any tips about late summer fishing? I'll have a boat to use, so getting to spots shouldn't be a problem. I'll try and get things right for a spring trip next year.
@@ernestpaul2484 deep water jigging Lakers om lake george can be a blast man . Swimbaits , tubes, jigging spoons . Vertical jigging in 100 plus ft of water can be great!
Nice fish. I actually went up to L.G. this weekend & fished it for the 1st time ever, from my bass boat. I'm a bass fisherman so I targeted bass but my girlfriend has a camp up there & has been trying to a catch trout/salmon for years so I switched to targeting them but with no luck. I'm promised her I'd figure it out & catch 1 for her by the end of May. I dont know L.G. or really how to target Salmon/trout. Are you able to give me any tips on where to fish or I could even take you out?. We went to NW Bay yesterday but had no luck.
