im assuming you call bonito "bonefish" down there. if they are bonefish, El Niño has truly gone insane.

@@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman9590 back of j street bay easy to launch on a float tube.. ultra light set up 4 pound lines. size 4,6 hooks stay in 10 foot of waters... little jig heads with 2 inch grubs , dark gulp grubs work great.. bone fish love little small baits, I catch them back to back sometimes they school up.. mostly 10 to 15 inch big but I've caught a 20 inch bone fish was my biggest, i belive thats the biggest this Cortez bonefish get about 20 inches.. in coming tide is best as it pushes them closer to shore to feed on the little crabs and little bait fish.. so fun makes your drag scream 🎣 corvinas also be hitting popper lures there near shallows . Lots of fun on a fly rod too. Just keep in mind there's halibut there that's over 30 inches so you'll be in one heck of a fight on a ultra light set up. My buddy caught on on a 2 half inch swim bait, 34 inch 14 pounder 🎣 Weather been gloomy pretty much the past month half and winds pick up this time of year hopefully the winds slow down water warms up more already warm back there seeing 68+F water Temps.. Good luck 👍🏻 hopefully see you there sometime. I mostly fish there because I'm a bonefish addict 🎣🤣

@@secretbassrigs actually there has been bonefish in SD Bay for many years. El Niño brought them in and now they are thriving there. They may not get as big as they do in the tropics but they are still a great fight. Cheers!
