Slaying Crappie from shore / bank at Lake Isabella. No boat, no kayak, no float tub, and still hit my limit. If interested in any of my Jigs you can find them on Shopify: inthefisherman...
Light gear is the way to go. I legit seen some ppl out there with mh/h rods with 30-40 pound braid like bruh... that’s hella overkill for these little crappies
@@thecsickfisherman they got Rainbows, brown and golden trout up by Johnsondale bridge but north of the bridge has different regulations, so check those. It's more Rainbows then anything.
I fished with this amazing brotha and his family today at Irvine lake. We had a blast and got to pull in a few crappie on his custom jigs he makes. So please support him and go online and order those jigs. Slugs and tubes of all different colors that you cannot get just anywhere.
Thank you so much Bro!!!! It’s was a great day fishing with u and your son. Y’all make a 🔥🔥 team bro. We definitely have to fish again soon 🎣 I’m trying to get out and get some yellowtail this summer.
InTheFishermanCut, hometown area is Wichita Ks but I’m in Northern Colorado for a bit working up to Cheyenne. Got a lot of good crappie spots up North.
Love how you help other anglers out man. Not a lot of folks are willing to do that, but I do whenever I can as well! Teaching my man the uni knot and how to rig the plastic was cool. Is the bank always that crowded?
Thanks you very much. And if you were finishing next to me you would have left with your limit also. I’m all about helping/ teaching. And if u didn’t catch I would have given u a few of mine. Crappie are delicious!!! Lol
Hey. I’m not sure what area you are in but Isabella is far from me and I don’t fish there often. Only when the bite is very good. The water levels change often so I can’t give recommendations on the way it is now or what areas to fish. Just what to look for. Like the types of structures
Thanks for answering me back but we heard that the water was very low and the bit not good .we live in south central LA. Vermont and Broadway area. Too far to go for nothing and too expensive for us at this time. Mayb later this year r next Spring.
I don’t know the name of that location, but any area with a lot of rocks or trees work best. You just have to make sure it’s not to windy.... someone comment below about the name of that area.
Has anyone been lately. Thinking about going this Friday and Saturday. Will be my 1st trying Crappie fishing from shore at Isabella. Looking for any new fishing buddies who would like to hook up. I plan to sleep in my car Friday and Saturday night. With a little night time Crappie fishing using a floating Crappie light.
What's up my guy! I'm from LA too and trying take my boat up there but never been to Isabella. Looking to try it out this year and seems like everybody hits up Isabella in the spring?? LMK if you trying to link up! I fish at Castaic a lot, got some videos on that. Love your videos bro!
Joe, the Crappie are wide open down at Lake Hodges in San Diego. I don't have boat but some of my Kayak buddies are slaying the Crappie. Also Lake Cachuma is fire now for Crappies. Hit me up and lets get some.
@@thecsickfisherman did ok. Caught like 10. Was super windy tho. It was my first time. Most ppl there who wasn't in a float tube struggled. But they said the week before everyone killed it
I'm a fan for life now. Thanks for the video. Was there this past weekend targeting the trout and got skunked. My normal spot had low water levels so it didn't hold any fish. Do you look for those reeds and trees sticking out the water when you target the crappie?
I’ve never fished there in the summer because it’s far from me. I always target the trees , but I heard the crappie hold in deeper water in the summer.
As I was watching this, I was about to ask...did you just roll up, cast out, started filling up the bucket? Out there, I was like man the hater gone come out these people quick. But then I seen @4:30 minutes...smokin her 100s and all.
Lol Born and raised in LA on the East Side. But fam from Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas. I’m a low key country boy that grew up in the hood. Where ur folks from?
InTheFishermanCut no it wasn’t windy. It was calm. I didn’t fish there tho cause my car was shaking and rumbling while driving there so made a turn back. That location is Joughin cove cause you had to passed paradise, kisaack cove to get to the end of the lake
Kenneth Sumontha that’s crazy. I was out there last Thursday and killed em with the baby shad at night and some minnows in the morning. The water was down last Friday too.
@@thecsickfisherman yes I have and been skunked... did the live minnows and tried you jigging... and just get nibbles but no hook ups lol... gonna try again this weekend..
Can’t really explain how to get there, but the crappie are in many spots in the lake. Target areas with structure ( trees, and boulders/ rocks coming out the water).
