Ep. # 52 This week I go on a nature hunt by the lakes edge. You don't have to look hard to find that wildlife is different when the conditions have changed.

the "redfin" we got here to, both fresh and saltwater, its tasty and good fun, we catch them with earthworms. maybe its difficult to find earthworms there with the heat and dry ground. The lizard had a star pattern on the head, very cool. Im home sick, Corona found me, hope you and yours are in good health.

That's interesting they have the same name and that they also live in saltwater there too. Worms are good bait for them but the carp usually beat them to it so most people use lures (from what I know). I hope you get better soon, even a glorified flu is not good to get. Thanks for your well wishes and same to your family too.👍

I say this with respect for your knowledge and your wanting to share that knowledge and the beauties of Australia; but you are off your bl***ing nut! (I know that certain words aren't considered swears everywhere, but I also have never heard you use profanity, so fill in the missing letters as most appropriate) Forget snakes, ripping bark off of trees just begs for a redback to be chomping it's way up your arm. And frankly, I'd take a snake any day over even that presumably harmless spider with it's babies. Spiders are God's way of reminding us how cute sharks are.

Lol! Funny you should say that Jason. The other day, when inside my house I felt something on my neck. I thought it was a beetle or something and as I flicked it off I saw that it was a redback when it landed on the floor. They're pretty docile usually so I didn't get bitten (or get too worried about it). You'll never get me near sharks, crocs, or bears though.
