Lake Lonsdale in the Grampians had been very low for some time and not much fishing had been happening there as you couldn't get a boat on it but with the rains last spring it re filled and now the redfin have re established themselves here.
This was our first trip here in probably ten years but in the past this lake has probably produced the best redfin fishing I've seen in the Wimmera, if they don't drain this lake again we will see some outstanding big redfin here this year.
