Lake Louise is a world class skiing and snowboarding destination in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta. Part of Banff National Park, it is currently the third largest ski resort in Canada. Much of the terrain is in the back bowls with some of the most challenging riding in Canada. The snowfall varies year to year, and the resort receives 190 inches on average. Come ride with us as we explore the front side, the powdery back bowls, and fun surprises on Larch.

Great review you two. I really liked it here. It was more crowded than I anticipated but the runs are very long and wide so was still roomy.
@snowboardtraveler
@snowboardtraveler 4 года назад
yeah it can get crowded on the front side. the new West Bowl terrain looks cool. just takes 3 lifts to get there as of now. future lift construction will fix that.

The boomerang runs are not too steep? Please tell me about the boomerang runs thank you .
@snowboardtraveler
@snowboardtraveler Год назад
I think you’re referring to run 133 boomerang on the back side. It is intermediate and sometimes groomed. Not too steep. If you are ok on the front side intermediate then you will be ok on this one.

I’m thinking of going skiing in April possibly, where would have the better snow Whistler or lake Louise
@snowboardtraveler
@snowboardtraveler 3 года назад
Both can be great in April and are having good snow years so far, but keep monitoring it. In Banff you also have Sunshine ski resort nearby and riding can go into May in a good snow year. Whistler typically has wet heavy snow and Banff area snow is light and fluffy. Banff is probably less expensive.

why does it say it need NATIONAL PARK PASS?
@snowboardtraveler
@snowboardtraveler Год назад
since the ski resorts are in Banff national park you need a park pass to park at the ski resorts or in town. the park rangers sometimes have check points on the way into the ski resort parking to check passes and will ticket you if you dont have one. you can pick up a pass online or at the ranger stations on the highway or lake louise village.

Would car rentals in Calgary be a problem early December? I'm planning on flying in to Calgary then hiring a car at the airport to drive To Lake Louise Fairmont
@snowboardtraveler
@snowboardtraveler 2 года назад
I don’t think it will be a problem and they usually have vehicles good for the mountains. There is also a bus from the airport to Banff and the fairmonts.
