The more this series continues the stronger the pull is to visit this magnificent place as the variety of scenes you share with us Mads is truly wonderful and awe inspiring. Your overviews on the various locations is extremely informative and most certainly will be beneficial for anyone looking to travel to these places
Wow, that first Aurora shot...there are no words. I could see that out my window everyday and not grow weary of it. Also love that drone shot of the winding road. Magnificent.
just love the picture at 09:54. It sums up all the lessons you are teaching me/us. Leading lines, leading to a subject, contrast, depth, contrast, etc... Thank you Mr Iversen !
Wow, another gem of a video Mads. I wish your channel was around 5 years ago when I went to Iceland. You are quickly building one of the most comprehensive travel photography resources on all of RU-vid. Congrats on the great work!
We were there in mid Sept and found it one of the most varied and stunning places on our journey around the Ring Road. Thanks for showing us things we couldn't find or see. Unrelated but local to Myvatn is the Cowshed. One of the most wonderful meals we had In Iceland. Everything was grown/produced at the farm and the staff, at the time, were all local people.
A'n other great video from some stunning locations, I love those craters!!! These video's should be on tv, make them 30 min and you will have your own travel show!!!
Just got home from Iceland last week. We only did a 1 day stop but we had time on the day we arrived and left as well. Only did the Golden Circle and some of the Southern coast on the peninsula. WOW!!!!!! We are going back for sure! Took my drone but didn't fly it although I wish I had. I just wanted to keep moving and see as much as we could. My photos don't do it the justice that yours do. Thanks for all the videos on Iceland, we'll be looking at them for ideas of what to see for our next trip.
Hey Mads, having only discovered your work this year (via Nigel I guess?), I’m having so much fun going back through your older videos one-by-one. You’ve been doing incredible work for quite a while now, as further evidenced by your website. Well done and many thanks as always for showing us these beautiful spots along with your work.
Thank you very much! Very happy you enjoy my former work. I've been trying to keep the same style for a long time, but obviously it does change a little over time :)
Yes, it was interesting looking at your website and seeing the changes, but still quite consistent: more of a refinement of your process than wholesale change. Well done, man.
Fantastic vlog mads, very interesting and well described. Awesome images throughout. ( don't know why you have thumbs down, what have they not seen thats amazed us)
34 Episodes. Congratulations for an epic series... Is there a way to combine Lake Mývatn with the typical Southern/South Eastern Iceland trip? I'm thinking for this coming February.
nice work again mads , is there any reason why you dont put camera setting up along side the pictures as you did in some of your earlier videos , very enjoyable though .
Thanks a lot, Spencer. Yes, the main reason is I want it to be about the photo, not the settings. Also, I edit my photos so much it more than often don't make sense at all. If there is some interesting interesting thing like shutter speed I normally talk about it :)
The haircut of your rock looks like Donald T... Great video btw. I plan to stay several days in that area because of its potential spots, less photographed than the epic ones...
Hey Mads ! Thanks for all of your inspiring content ! Quick question, how do you deal with the increasing number of "Drone forbidden" signs in Iceland ? Thanks!
Hi Mads, my family and I are going to Iceland next month Any recommendations where to shoot northern lights that is not too far of a drive back to town at night? We are planning on doing the Ring Road and go to Lake Myvatn too.
Technically I'm not allowed to host one. A lot of people do but most are illegal. I do guide tours through Iceland Photo Tours and I have some on their homepage during Feb and March :)
