Instagram - AdamTheWooATW I’m thinking of doing more of these type of videos devoted to one specific small town not normally given a lot of attention . Thoughts ? Yesterday’s video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DVfM0DQN_dQ.html
YES please Adam! That sounds cool! Honestly that is the style that got me interested in you and your vlogs. I feel like I'm on a mini vacation of sorts when I watch you. I love seeing things and places I would never get to see or visit myself. So thanks for all the adventures you have provided and I hope you keep it up!
Florida has some beautiful countryside. There’s nothing more relaxing to me then just taking a drive down a backroad seeking some scenery or just seeing it here on the screen.. “quarter pounder” Ha ha the museum is awesome! Smile obtained
Kinda makes me realize how important your work really is. I always knew there were 2 Lake Placid's but no one ever took the time to show me. Much appreciated.
These are some of my favorite videos! To be fair, pretty much all of your videos are my favorites. Meandering randomness is both tranquil and incredibly interesting at the same time. Thank you for taking the time to have us along for the journey Adam!!
@@JPFalcononor lol. Adam seems like an ok guy with a tough job, keeping us interested. Guess I should n't be so hard on him, but at his age I kinda don't get it. My problem.
Emmett Kelly Jr. was born in 1924 in my hometown of Dyersburg TN. There is a plaque on the original building that was the former hospital. Another great snapshot from the road. Love & Respect always.
Adam, the mural of the bank robbery reminded me of Ma Barker and her boys from the 1930s era. Their crime spree came to an end in a shootout near Lake Weir not far from Ocala. Lake Weir is about as far north of you as Lake Placid is south. Might be a great day-trip for you.
Adam! That opening shot! Oh my goodness! The cows? Nice touch! This vlog reminds me of when you were in Marge on the East Coast, and you would whistle in the sunrise! Then burn your mouth on coffee! Lol! I enjoyed this so much! (Except the clowns!)
My best friend lived there for nearly 10 years!! I loved visiting her from Pittsburgh. I’ve been up in that tower and the views were amazing. Next time you should rent a pontoon and check out all of the lakes. Many of them connect via canals.
You were down near my neck of the woods!! I’m only 10 miles from Solomon’s Castle in Wauchula and some of my best friends live in Sebring and Lake Placid!!
Adam, Did those cows enjoy the torte? They were making the "yummy" sound. (Young Frankenstein reference) It's clear why the tower is closed. It is the Leaning Tower of Lake Placid. The soil in Florida is just too sandy.
Adam , it would be so dang cool if u did an entire small town Florida Series . Visit various towns and give a historic background . Towns like : Palatka Titusville Micanopy Deland Enterprise Lake wales Bagdad Seville Crescent city Bartow Mims Fernandina Beach Sebastian Inlet Starke
Shows you what I know. I saw the title and thought it was about upper NY State. LOL!. Beautiful sunrise! Moo moo cows! Cool murals. The clown museum was scary. As a kiddie, clowns scared the life out of me. :-O.
@@TheDailyWoo how many minutes/hour(s) you waited for the momma bird to show her wings as she settled down to feed her chicks ? Marvellous section photography ! Thanks.
This was amazing. Dare I say, a new personal favorite? I absolutely love the historical murals, and the creative coverups for utilitarian objects. So well done. And your looming shots of the abandoned tower were haunting. The only thing that would have made it anymore creepier is if the the pay phone had started ringing.
Are the three towers you refer to being this one (aka "The Happiness Tower" built in 1961), the Clermont Citrus Tower (built in 1956), and Lake Wales's Bok Tower (built in 1929)? Sad to see this one abandoned and in disrepair.
I LOVED this video, Adam. Those murals, and places of interest.... Everywhere you go is amazing, but these are my absolute favorites. Where was everyone? TY👍🏼😁😄
I grew up here as a child. I feel you completely missed the mark here on this video. I’m not sure why there is so much clown stuff claiming to be a part of this town. I feel someone just came in and put their own twist and perspective on the history of Lake Placid, Fl. I grew up my ancestors span back 3 generations here. Clowns were never a thing. You completely missed the 29 beautiful lakes. Some of the most unique plant and animal life and white sandy beaches. Ranches, caladium bulbs capitol of the world and orange groves for miles. I think you completely missed the mark on the history here. Let’s not forget archibalds right down the road and the highlands flora and fauna found nowhere else in the world here.
A lot of stuff to see in that little community town! I made a comment on the Dewey Decimal System at the beginning but I see you brought bgg that in towards the the end. We b.c. sure that a lot in school!
Sweet video Adam. Good to see the regular life in florida! Lake placid certainly have some talented artists! Those murals are fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Thinking of moving from NC to Lake Placid in 4 to 5 months. Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your tour! I am disabled and wheelchair bound. Do you know of any place that has a pier or easy access to fish? Thanks again! 17:26
Whoa my friend how did you get that perfect pan from one side to the other standing in the middle of the street? That was an amazing shot with no vibration or hand movement that was super cool great job 👍.
I just moved here about a year ago. There are many orange groves here and what about the Caladiums? Come back for more! There are a bunch of lakes here too with many nice boat ramps and fishing. Liked the beginning. The main road from Sebring to Lake Placid has a bear crossing sign too. Don't see that too often.
On route 60 leaving Lake Wales towards Vero Beach is a Panther 🐆 Crossing sign. I had to get a picture and while waiting for my wife to click it, some little ants started their biting or stinging my feet. Got the photo and had some spring water to wash. Up here in Maine, you see Moose and Deer Crossing signs. Best wishes…
Hello Adam! Lake Placid is such a nice quiet place. I have always loved the circus and I love the museum with all the clown/circus memories. There are very few traveling circuses left today. I was also glad to see a Seminole woman selling quilts among the picnickers in the park mural. Central Florida was once part of the ancestral homeland of the tribe. Thank you for taking me on another off-the-beaten-path adventure today! Take care & God bless!
I grew up in LP. Currently 27. When I was in third grade, an old gentleman took our class on a tour around town to explain the murals. He was in fact the boy in the bank robbery mural. He was awarded a whole $10 for alerting the authorities!
