1:08 Well, Lake Powell Chamber of Commerce member Judy Franz seems to be part of the problem. She is in complete denial of how bad the draught is. How do you fix a problem they don't even admit exists?
Yeah it's just like the government/fed on the inflation. First there won't be any inflation, then there isn't any inflation, then inflation is transitory, then inflation is actually good for you, then it's just corporate greed, and now it's the fault of the war...
First off we can’t fix a drought (act of god) and second you can’t fix stupid ( green plush golf courses all through the desert). I mean it isn’t rocket science.
Almond farms in California use massive amounts of water, golf courses in Nevada use massive amounts of water, toilets and showers in Nevada hotel rooms are using massive amounts of water. You sow what your reap!
EPCOR did a water release after it took over for Johnson Utilities in Arizona.. This in itself will assure raising water prices here in Arizona since there is such an Exodus of building new homes.. but you can't bet your bottom Dollar you will find a Car Wash every 10 blocks... No matter how low water levels become.. fellas we are not washing our cars in Dirty Water either.
I hope it dries out completely so we can all go on...tired of seeing and hearing about this when this nations attention is rather on war, and money and power being relinquished to other murderous matters!!
Don’t Worry! The Dept of Defense knows how to make it rain! Your nearest military base (Army) has the equipment) and your Governor knows how to request that help!
Why are these lakes low? Interesting that Navel Vessels can Purify Sea Water for general consumption of the Crew but we Don't have the Technology to Cipher Sea Water into Lake Water for general Consumption... This should be an International Issue.. I have seen technology Ciphering water in Africa in Drought infested areas... I personally think that Big Business is holding back Technology... It's all about the Money... Never about the People... or bettering our Planet.
@@chestyvulva No such thing. first it was global warming, then they had to change the term because the world isn't getting hotter. Now its "climate change" ha. The polar ice caps haven't melted, acid rain hasn't destroyed the world, The sea levels haven't risen and all the lizards making themselves richer by pushing climate change are buying real estate on the beach. Its overdevelopment. The desert can't support the population growth its experiencing. People need water. And the more people that move into the desert need to get the water from somewhere. SoCal, Nevada and AZ all fight for the same water rights. AZ and Nevada are experiencing a population boom. Cant wait until the water runs out and the desert becomes uninhabitable again. Man made crisis due to greedy politicians and greedy developers.
🤔Here is a thought, when the 1st warnings of global warning started we should have started to harvest the glacial calving and filter the water run off and replenish major reseviors during hot summers.😎👍
