Today I am fishing a THSBA bass fishing tournament on Lake Ray Hubbard. My partner and I start out fishing shallow rocks and then transition to fishing deep docks in a marina. From there, we transition over to fishing shallow docks.

How much did that big one weigh on the scale?

We didn't weigh it separately, but it was probably about 5 1/2. My initial heat-of-the-moment guess might have been a little off lol

Idk if this is high school or not but I’m pretty sure your dad isn’t allowed to drive the troll motor for you. And isn’t it illegal to fish an A rig in tournaments.

Yes this is highschool. Yes the boat captain can drive the trolling motor (although he's not my dad). And yes the A rig is legal in the normal season tournaments. Many people throw them in the normal season, but once we get to state they're not allowed. Some tournament series allow them, some don't.

@@TheBassAddict yea ig it’s varies from state to state in Louisiana our captain can only drive the boat by the big engine and nothing else. We have to do everything else. When I first started 4 years ago the captain was not even allowed to give advice or talk to us, but they recently changed the rules allowing them to speak

Yea the rules can greatly vary in different series. I've fished ones where they don't allow the boat captain to drive the trolling motor and ones where they don't allow the A-rig. Definitely gotta check before fishing them
