🏞️ About the Lake Sorapis Hike
Length of the Hike - Sorapis Lake Hike is between 10-12 km in total. So, you will be walking 5 - 6 km each way which will take around 2.5-3 hours to the lake and 1.5-2 hours while coming back.
Difficulty Level - It is a moderate hike with some flat sections and a few uphill sections. A few parts also include the use of ladders, staircases, metal cables, etc. for support.
Best Time to Visit - The best time to hike to Lake Sorapis is the summer months as it is accessible between June and September. If weather permits, you can also visit in May and October.

🥾 How to Reach Lake Sorapis Hike Trailhead
The hike to Lake Sorapis begins at Passo Tre Coco, a mountain pass close to Cortina d’Ampezzo. It is close to an old hotel named B&B Hotel Passo Tre Coci Cortina.
You can reach this trailhead both by private vehicle or by bus.
🚗 By Car - If you reach by car, there is a parking space near the hotel.
🚌 By Bus - You can take bus line 30/31 to reach the starting of the Lake Sorapis from both the Cortina side and the Lake Misurina side.
If you are staying in Bruneck, then you will need 2-3 hours to reach the trailhead.
- First, take the regional train from Bruneck to Toblach.
- Then take the bus number 445 to Cortina d’Ampezzo.
- Finally, take a bus to Passo Tre Croci.
However, do keep in mind that the bus schedule is quite sporadic in this region so plan your day early.
