I'm old..., a musician from a different ERA and genre. But I was introduced to LSD this last spring at an outdoor venue in Lafayette, NY (Bean and Something)..., thinking I was going to shine 'new music' at a barn,( boy was I wrong). I fell in love with these amazing musicians and performers! TELL EM I'M A GOOD KISSER!
This message is a question for Mike. Can you please make a recommendation for a good headband to keep the sweat out of your eyes while drumming? I don't care about style at all. (I gather you don't either).
Janis was great in her own way, but she and Rachael are nothing alike voice-wise. JJ was a blues belter with a raw style, whereas RP is a highly-trained vocalist. Both great, as I said.
They are great, ans soooo much better now that the "trumpet player" is no longer wuth them. I stoped following them because of him. Now it's a joy to hear them again.
So, I grew up in the 70s. LOTS of really stupid, bland, fake, faux-bands in the era. The Monkees, the Osmonds, the Partridge Famiy, and, IMNSVHO the Jackson 5. Top 40 drivel at its very worst and, yes, I'm just as critical and picky about my music today. I can thank my mother for that and it was one of the best things she ever taught me [well, that and how to do laundry 😁] Now we have LSD [a band I've only discovered in the last couple years, them and Tuba Skinny] taking an utterly forgettable song from my childhood and making it into something wonderfully listenable. So just like I told my mom, THANK YOU.
