I started my musical "career" playing electric bass...... I can't tell you how hard it is to play a fretless upright bass.....this woman is spectacular on a difficult instrument.... WOW!
Im 72 and was a teenager when this song became poplular. Back then in the 60's, we didn't have digital music, cable tv or You Tube, so we learned the words of songs by hearing them all the time on the radio.. My reason for saying this is WHAT FUN IT IS TO SING ALONG WITH THIS AMAZING BAND AND ACTUALLY KNOW EVERY SINGLE WORD (albeit a slight bit off key, but sung with gusto nonetheless.)
from another 1960's musical "refugee" ---- loved the Kinks original, but every version of this by LSD on You Tube is just plain fun ! I can't tell you how good the bass player is....an acoustic, fretless upright bass is so hard to master---and Bridget does!
As amazing as Brigit is, her bass is even more amazing. It folds up and you wouldn't know it by looking at it! As a fellow bassist, the next upright I buy is going to be one of them.
True- except isn't this song literally about a guy who gets with a woman who later turns out to be a man? And that love should be embraced in all forms?
Miss Price for President! {or the whole band} Running on a Freedom of Sex Amendment platform and also, naturally, National Legalization of what most of this crowd is smoking.
