@@charlstin1979 not exactly, 2 strokes usually have faster acceleration but the 4 strokes will catch up Both have advantages and disadvantages Like 2 strokes aren’t as reliable usually And 4 strokes are a lot quieter usually
trust me it is there for a reason, its called a kill cord buddy, and what happens is that when its attached to you if you go overboard it will cut the engine and stop you or others getting run down by a out of control boat, wear it for safety please. I seen what happens with out of control craft and its not nice.
I have the same motor with 14 foot jon boat with added 150 extra pound due to mods. Top speed is 8mph with two people. I know it's very slow, but I can't figure it why it's to slow. Can be the added weight? Any idea?
No it should be going a lot faster even if it’s loaded down I went 23mph with 3 people about 300 pounds extra with that and not including gear in a 14ft Jon boat
The telltale on these are funny because they only pee full stream when the thermostat is open lol. If you shut it off for a bit and the thermostat stays open than you start it, it will pee normally than the cold water will close the thermostat and the pee will be intermittent
@@NIP28 4 stroke are better on fuel and dont have the cost of 2 stroke oil plus more environmentally friendly, if you go for a 15hp like this for example, get a EFI engine which suzuki, tohatsu and mercury + honda do, as yamaha 15 is a carb engine and alot more sluggish, whereas a EFI engine is better on fuel, better starting and more grunt. I recommend suzuki or Tohatsu buddy
This engine sounds like Four stroke! 👍 Excellent unit! With such a lightweight boat it goes AMAZING!! See my old F15 Honda on heavy 500 kg cabin crescent boat: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rx8mUQXE0yA.html
