@@interfaceking1137 Three years ago expectations were bigger than nowadays. now he's a good role player coming off bench, i think he can handle that now.
@@maxcady5287 I hear that, that's a very valid point. I think if drummond can rebound, and play the pick and roll and make his layups and give the energy, lakers front court will be very strong and reliable. one thing they lacked this eason was a big body in the paint, they were able to offset it by also playing vando alot of the time, but him going down really cost them the playoffs, I still believe with a healthy vando they would have been a serious threat and wouldn't have choked those leads, because he gives energy and extra possessions and hustle that they missed alot of the time
I think going after Valanciunas would do wonders for the bench. Obviously he wouldn’t start with AD otherwise the driving lanes would be clogged but he could help generate offence and maintain production on the boards once AD sits. Kelly Olynyk would be another option: he can shoot, is a decent half court playmaker, and has handles. He could be the backup big or even start with AD given his shooting.
@@MineDesigned The thing with Valanciunas is that he can’t switch on defence and he gets destroyed in the pick and roll (watch what happens every time the Lakers play New Orleans). He also isn’t a reliable floor spacer yet, so pick and pops with him usually don’t work. That’s why I think if the FO somehow gets him they still shouldn’t start him with AD.
@@jadenng7569 thats why him and ad together is deadly cuz ad can just roam and ad is one of the best roam / gap / help defender out there esp how much he covers the floor, have jonas body to body opposing center and if gets beat they still have to go through AD, now offensively no team can reliable guard AD 1on1 he usually gets double if he can unlock his 3pt shooting than it will be deadly. similair ot that boogie and ad combo
@@MineDesigned Yh but you’re assuming AD can still shoot like 2020 lmao, if he can’t do that the spacing will be cramped since Jonas isn’t very reliable from three either. But if AD can shoot like he was in 2020 Jonas could start with him.
@@jadenng7569 ad can shoot he can always shoot, if they figure a way to get a traditional big im sure he'll be get his rhythm back plus they got cwood already hybrid stretch who would match well with a traditional C
I'd like to get back to (as close to) the 2020 formula and idk if tillman is the guy to guard the opposing team's center while AD roams. I'd want a true 7footer bc when Jokic is at his spots he can just throw it over the top like we saw with rui and a 7footer with length can bother him more. And tillman was getting torched by AD last postseason. Bitadze is interesting tho
@@SISKCERTWaJaVlogs they have been in no man’s land ever since lonzo went down they ain’t good enough to compete or ass enough to get 1st round pick in the lottery.
Best Center signings: Goga Bitadze, Tristan Thompson, and Andre Drummond Best Wing signings: Stanley Johnson, Robert Covington, and Sadiq Bey, Taurean Prince, Kessler Edwards Best shooter signings: Evan Fournier, Luke Kennard, and Lonnie Walker Defensive/Combo Guard: Aaron Holiday, Delon Wright, and Shake Milton Bigman Shooter signings: Mike Muscala and Trendon Watford Trades: Lakers and Bulls: Gabe Vincent, Maxwel Lewis, and 3 2nd roundpicks for Alex Caruso and Torrey Craig Lakers and Atlanta: Rui Hachimura, Cam Reddish(likely opting-in his contract), and JHS for Clint Capela and 2 2nd round picks Lakers Dream 2024-2025 Roster: Caruso. Wright. Milton Reaves. Kennard. Christie Lebron. Vanderbilt. Covington Davis. Wood. Watford Capela. Drummond. Thompson
I feel like AD would be there best bet, not only because he played with Lebron and AD briefly for only about 1/3 of the 2020-21 season. And coincidentally, I think I had commented this last video lol. His physical presence, as well as his very efficient rebounding would be very valuable and much needed against bigs that produce a huge percentage of their offense around the paint, such as Jokic. Offensively he's limited, which is noted, but he can be a pick and roll threat for either lobs, or quick open dashes to the rim, maybe even the dunker's spot. Also, his physique can make other opposing bigs have to work for their offense, causing them to exert more energy, which can be easy rebounds turned into fastbreak points for the Lakers. Not to mention he's somewhat quick to make reads in the passing lanes, averaging almost 1.0 SPG, which is pretty damn good given his height and weight. I'd trade Hayes for Drummond, and then now the LAL would have their 3 towers, maybe even 4 if they GET DWIGHT HOWARD!!!!
Love Dwight but he isn't good anymore, what has he done on the Lakers in 2022? Plus no other team has brought him back. Warriors did a workout with him, but didn't sign him last year. I like the rest of your points tho.
@@antoine6760 appreciate it💯 I just feel like Dwight can be somewhat of an “x-factor” for the LAL. And he’s still playing professionally, just not in America. I just think he could be very useful
Dlo jhs 2 frp for murray... Gabe hayes frp and 2 seconds for caruso and drummond... Murray caruso vando bron a.d with reeves christie rui wood and drummond off the bench. Man wed be ELITE
Bismack Biyombo at backup center for the minimum and Dwight Howard as the third center also for the minimum. Pelinka could've easily made both of these moves this year, and they'd still be in the playoffs. Both these guys are strong and have a strong defensive pedigree. They provide muscle and protection in the paint for pennies. Problem solved.
I know it might not be possible but getting Alfred Sengun with AD would be a great combo imo..... Everything the AD, Marc Gasol line up was supposed to be. Then bring in Drummond, we already have woods and Hayes is more than likely coming back.
@@BlueGrovylebetter defender than when gasol was with us. But I'm talking more about being able to make life easier for AD on the offensive end. On defense he's not a shot blocker but can hold his own in the post more often than not.
Get the old squad back! Bring Drummond, Caruso back. Re-hire Frank V as coach. Bring on Rondo as an assistant. then go after a defensive guard, playmaker the trade market.
@@originalclassics yeah but Vincent has lost value since he spent most of season injured and he’s earning 11 millions next year and Caruso his last 9 millions with Bulls. For an elite defender like Caruso bulls would ask for more, first rounds. It’s not that easy but I wish for it, lol.
I disagree on taking Drummond. Sure, Drummond is a great rebounder. However, that’s all he is good at. He is not the greatest shot blocker, doesn’t have good basketball iq, and has the lowest FG% for a center. We need a center that can help block shots like how Dwight Howard and Javale McGee helped the team. We need an anchor for AD in the backcourt to take away the pressure in the back court when guarding guys like Jokic
Hell no they don't need smaller centers remember when the Lakers ran small ball lineup disadvantage and they need bigger body Luke kornet is a better idea fit he shows rim protection which they desperately need and rebound which helps ad
@@Beau838 its obviously with the intention of signing both of them to long contracts to pair them with ad after bron leaves? These types of players are in high demand. if youre not going the path of third star you are going to have to use the picks to upgrade as well u know that right? caruso, vanderbilt and ad are a good defensive core to build from and we'd have them all under contract until ad's ends. If u know the mysterious star who will be available for us this summer to use the picks on then im all ears
@@jourdanzero9312 you don’t shoot your whole load(the 2FRP’s) on just 1 trade for a player that’s 30 already and a backup big I didn’t say there’s a star to get. Stop putting words in my mouth. I pointed the idiocy in giving up 2 FRP’s for those 2 players Send me your venmo. I’ll Venmo you a grand if Pelinka does this stupid idea of a trade
None of the options solve lakers problem All of them are backup bigs. You are not only putting bodies on the court and call it good enough. Drummond is fools gold as you can see his performance in the lakers uniform Maybe tillman is the better choice. Still a bit undersized against real bigs
I mean AD is gonna play the 5 in key moments anyway, just need someone that can play the 5 with him at the 4 depending on the matchup that can rebound and protect the rim.
