THE WESTBROOK CASE WAS A MISTAKE.
It was LeBron's wish that the team acquire Russell Westbrook in 2021, and this turned into one of the biggest recent disasters in the franchise's history. LeBron has many friends in the league, but that doesn't mean he always makes the best decisions.
With that in mind, the Lakers would be making a big mistake by handing the head coaching job to JJ Redick just because LeBron wants it. At some point, the front office needs to take control and make it clear that while they value LeBron's opinion, they can't let him make all the important decisions.
Let's go, Laker Nation, we're keeping an eye on this offseason! We can't afford to make the same mistakes again.

Rob pelinka has to go ,and Jeannie should bring in a capable coach by the name of Mark Jackson. And I have no idea as to why he is not on the sideline coaching the lakers.

Reddick/Sam Cassell are your coaches, they know the game of basketball better than most of the other candidates that are still available, they are both long term coach's that will not cost you initially, they are players coach's and will manage the locker room along with LeBron and AD's input. We must get two real bigs next to AD. (ie 2020 chip), Valanciunas, Drumond, Dwight etc, we need a six man (Bobby Portes, Dramond, for additional support etc.) We need a two way guard to contend with Jamal Murry and Anthony Edwards..... Demar/Caruso/Donovan/Keli Ubrea/Marcus Smart/JaMonte Murray/ Brogden etc. We have more than enough assets and picks to make this happen. Doc Rivers, Ty Lue, Chauncy Billups, etc none of which had ever coached prior to there position with the exception of being one assistant amongst many. There are enough picks, contracts, mid level and minimum money to make it happen.

The Lakers love hand puppet coaches, so expect them to choose exactly that.

Yes, the Lakers will continue to make the same mistakes. Unless they remove Rob Pelinka from GM He clearly has NO clue what he's doing. Look what he's done to a championship team.
