Excellent pick I was so nervous like “Don’t do this again Rob” but they didn’t 👏 others can cry like little girls about last year, THIS YEAR they picked RIGHT and now it’s time to focus on Free Agency after tomorrow
I'm fine with the Lakers making this pick and keeping this pick. The new CBA is going to force teams to improve their rosters by other means than just spending money if you have cap space or trading players and/or picks. Teams need to be more diligent with their draft choices and player development: which is something the Lakers are not accustomed to doing. Time to teach the old dog some new tricks. This team has to try new/different things. Build a sustainable culture and not just keep trying to trade for the next great Laker. Stars are important, but quality of the rest of the roster is just as important as the stars that are leading them. Hope the Lakers find another quality player to develop tomorrow at #55. A real diamond in the rough. Someone no one has been talking about/associating with the #55 pick.
The guy will be what 24 with the start of the season. He’s ready to be a rookie. They may need him to be the Rookie of the Year to justify the pick and to fulfill winning now and later.
@@anthony1423If you’re a real laker fan you’re rooting for Lebron you goof. The dude has given more to the team than a lot of the young guys who stay injured. He’s given more than AD who’s suppose to be the 1st star.
Love the pick and everything the young man stands for and Rick Barnes is a good coach and I loved that he worked himself up and wanted to be coached and wanted a challenge to get better and he is a gym rat which means he loves basketball 🏀
Sliwa with some garbage takes tonight. Clearly doesn't watch college basketball (which is fine) but first of all.... it's Dalton Knecht (like "connect" not "net"). He was the SEC player of the year in a stacked conference. He's a legit shooter who can provide much needed scoring off the bench. He wasn't mocked out of the top 10 and I've seen people mock him at #1. Saying he won't get any opportunities with the Lakers is pretty laughable considering how bad our shooting is. He's a plug and play guy immediately with the size to be a legit defender and shot creator.
I know we had to pick him, especially after the Cam mistake last year. But the truth is this guy can turn out to be 10 times better than even the highest expectations and the Lakers aren't going anywhere if they don't get rebounding. I guarantee you the Lakers could sign someone like Drummond and it would help the team more than all but maybe 10 players in the entire NBA today So they sure as hell better be focused on that going forward or they are going nowhere
Rob doesn't know what he's doing, that's why none of us know what the organization is doing. What GM guts a team eight months after winning a title (2020)? He only kept Lebron, AD, and THT. Had to keep THT because Klutch. He traded or let walk for nothing (Caruso) and the rest of the team. Also, that 2021 team might have won again had AD not gotten hurt and out during that Phoenix series. Rob loves to hear the sound of his own voice and fell backwards into a championship team in 2020. He didn't want that roster, he wanted Leonard.
If lebron wanted to win and he already had a shit ton of money, he could sign for cheap. Dlo walks. They could sign a free agent probably have about 30 mil space. Trade for dejounte. Lebron could have terms for signing a cheap deal like getting Chris Paul if he walks and bronny in the draft . I was thinking a team like Chris Paul dejounte Paul George lebron ad, jhs Christie connect rui wood/free agent. Think that would be realistic.
What a crybaby. If Lakers take Bronny it doesnt mean he will be a starter and be the 3rd guy. He ll probably play less 10 at most or no minutes/game. Cantjust be positive in every Lakers move. Not being negative to the move w/c are not even made
Should of drafted Jaime (22yo --> NBA ready) last year to build around Lebron/AD, instead took Hood-Schifino (20yo) project --> bust. Why would you build for future, when Lebron/AD is now. Fortunately Knecht (23yo) fell into our lap this year, more NBA ready. Pelinka is clueless, but most fans already know this.
