Steve Kerr was coached by Pop, Phil Jack, etc. and players on a ton of Championship teams. I'm certain that was his training as a coach. A guy like Sam Cassell won as a player, was a floor leader, now has won as a long time assistant and the guy can't sniff a job.

Any coach should be happy to take this. Only work a year or 2 and get a guaranteed 5 year contact; you don't even have to coach, just let Bron do everything since he thinks he knows so much, and take the fall in the end. Don't even stress about it; most people know the deal with that position; easy money

He really didn't, he had the position but Jason Kidd was the head assistant coach, Kidd, LeBron, Rondo, and Dwight Howard all told the team what to do, once Kidd was gone and Vogal had Pelinka get rid of Rondo and Howard and actually control the line ups the accomplished nothing that's why he was fired. They should've made Kidd the Head Coach. Vogal did nothing in Indiana, or with the Suns, he's ok

Because whoever the new coach is will be Trajan Langdon’s decision. The Pistons are cleaning house and allowing him to dictate the direction of the team. This is normal and expected with a regime change. Most people simply didn’t expect the Pistons to pay Williams so much money to sit at home. To their credit, this is the best way forward and hopefully Langdon can keep them on the right path.

Doesn’t make sense for JJ to coach a losing team like Detroit only to get fired at least coaching the lakers you have a chance to win and bet on yourself in a major way. No team is really giving coaches a chance to build and grow they want to see results right away so ppl thinking JJ should want to coach a young team I think are dead wrong. You wanna be in position to win and young guys would probably not like JJ I just totally disagree with that point when ppl say he should want to coach a younger team over the lakers
